4. Having to juggle writing numerous articles on top of all your other school work.
5. Having to listen to people talk about how the newspaper industry is dying.
6. Struggling over how to find the perfect lead for a story.
7. Seeing your name in print for the first time.
8. Meeting some great friends through your work on the school paper.
9. Getting to intern at a newspaper or a TV station.
10. Getting free access to different events by way of a press pass.
11. Knowing that the skills you learned in journalism class will carry you through life, no matter what field or industry you ultimately end up in.
