If you're like us, you're probably pretty excited for the Jan. 24 premiere of the new "X-Files" miniseries. In anticipation of this television event, take a look at this list of experiences all "X-Files" fans know to be true.

1. Getting butterflies in your stomach every time you hear that creepy theme song.

2. Cheering every time Scully let a man know who was boss.

3. Feeling like you're going through emotional whiplash because you hate Walter Skinner one minute, but love him the next.

4. Feeling your heart go aflutter every time Scully starts a phone call with the phrase "Mulder, it's me."

5. Wondering how the second "X-Files" movie could've gone so, so wrong.

6. Letting moments like this hit you right in the feels.

7. Knowing it's going to be a good episode as soon as you see the Lone Gunmen come around.

8. Feeling bad that these two got such a bad rap.

3. You get a chance to eat "kid foods" again.

5. You have at least one car seat in your backseat.

7. When someone famous or fictional character shares your name, you get so happy

9. You’ve pretty much seen every misspelling and heard every mispronunciation of your name throughout your life
