It's that time of year again when everyone hits the beaches, get that summer glow, bring out the bikinis. You look at your self in the mirror and notice that you're summer bod hasn't arrived yet. What is there to do? You can your summer bod ready by doing one of these 12 different exercises!

1. Squats

Squats can help build your leg muscles quads, hammies, calves. Also squats can help tone your abs, legs, and yes your butt.

2. Planks

Planks can help tone your abs, prevent back pain, also can help improve your posture. You can start off doing planks as little as 10 seconds, then work your way up to a minute or two.

3. Lunges

Lunges are a lower body exercise that are good for your quads. Lunges can also help you daily activities.

4. Crunches

Crunches can do alot for your abs, and stomach. If you do crunches and do them often you can see the result...A toned tummy, and great abs! :)

5. Jumping Jack


Jumping jack can actually improve your flexibility. Jumping jacks target calves, glutes, deltoids, lats, and gracilis muscles. Did I mention that jumping jack can double your heart rate, and has the blood flowing to some of the most important muscle groups.

6. High Knees


High knees target you thighs, butt, calves, and core. Also can help improve your balance. Doing a large number of high knees can boost your metabolism, and help burn calories.

7. Sit Ups


Everyone says that situps usually target your abs and will help you get a nice flat tummy. This exercise targets the rectus abdominis, obliques, and hip flexors.

8. Burpees


Burpees are a full body exercise that will help your arms, chest, quads, glutes, hamstrings, and abs. After doing a couple of sets of burpees you will feel that your muscles are getting stronger.


9. Mountain Climbers



This exercise targets quite a few muscles including: deltoids, biceps, triceps, pectoralis major, obliques, rectus abdominals, lower trapezius, latissimus dorsi, quadriceps, hamstrings, hip adductors, and hip abductors. Thanks to this exercise you can improve flexibility, your overall strength, and blood circulation.

10. Heisman


This exercise is great for your core, and gets your heart rate up.

11. Cross Jacks


Cross jack are like jumping jacks in a way, but this helps tone your arms and legs, while bringing your heart rate up.

Remember if you have any injuries, and type of medical conditions make sure you talk to your doctor before doing any exercises.

But as long as you do these exercises on a regular basis then your glorious beach bod will be ready! :)

Although this seems like the best solution, it is also the easy way out. Take it from the girl who took basically a whole week off from her life because she just could not handle everything that was being thrown at her. This caused her to feel extremely lonely and even more stressed out for being behind in classes that JUST began.
