11 Emotions Every OWU Bishop Knows To Be TOO Real

There's something defining about being an OhWoo Bishop. Of course, it is THE grumpy mascot, but there's so much more to us; to OWU Bishops.!

Here's a list of ten emotions all of us know to be too real, it hurts. Or not?

1. When beloved Trattoria was taken away.

This one tops my list because it brings back memories of the good old days. When in fall 2015, we returned to school, our midnight hunger crisis savior was taken away, and the world has never been the same.

2. When it is snowing cats, dogs and everything else and you have an 8 a.m.

8 ams are never okay, even more so when it is Ohio and the weather (and your life) is unpredictable, and there is nothing you can do about it. Welcome to OhWoo! Not...

3. When Bishop Net connects and gives good speed.

The rarity of such days is equal to my chances of being a secret mermaid (who knows?). But thank the heavens above if Bishop Net lets you surf.

4. When all you need in life is a grilled cheese at Dan’s Deli.

Grilled Cheese. Dan's Deli. Enough said.

5. When ladies in the bakery greet you with "your" coffee/drink.

I don't know about you, but Hamwill Bakery is my absolute most favorite place on campus. There's so much love and coffee and chai there. It's Home!

6. When you receive mail.

No matter how long the mail-room line is, care packages are worth the wait, always!

7. When Smith has a good food day.

It feels great, to say the least. You are surprised, happy, proud, crying inside and hungry. It's an unexplainable range of emotions.

8. When you have a B parking permit, and you actually find parking.

9. When you are asked to explain the mascot

As much as we love the Bishop....

10. When they switched from being "Opposite of Ordinary" to being "Hungry"

Just no.

11. At the end of the day, you are OWU, and you love it.

It's a love-hate relationship but at the end of the day, home is OWU, OWU is home (tears. cries).

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
