10 Embarrassing Opinions About My College

If you have ever attended a small Liberal Arts school located in a rural area, you will understand the satire of this article. A lot of times, the biggest separation from bigger local schools and a small, private school is the religious aspect. Going to a small school is definitely a unique experience, but usually, the school's strong academics and loving environment are a great support system for success in each student. Overall, every small, close-knit community can have its quirks. If you attend a school like this, here are some things that you might be able to relate to.

1. Walking to class with someone of the opposite sex will result in widespread dating rumors. Lasting Years.

2. Having Ibu-Profen classifies you as "bad-ass"

3. Students say the town's local restaurants are famous for being delicious but really they’re mediocre at best.

4.The majority of relationships are a direct result of boredom.

5. A "7" in the real world is a "10" on campus. Shallow but accurate.

6. Everybody self-identifies as an outsider. Every person.

7. There is no football team but if you’re a fan of men in short shorts, you’re in luck!

8. The population can sometimes start to slowly decline, as if it was possible for the school to be any smaller.

9. Only decaf beverages are served on campus (although there is talk of an underground coffee cartel). "Ya want coffee? I know a guy."

10. You might end up dating someone in your immediate friend group. It's a common practice on campus.
