Art majors are the best! They're so much fun, and it's so encouraging to see people following their dreams. Disney princesses also stress the importance of following your dreams, so what's more encouraging and fun then seeing these two wonderful things combined! Here are the Disney princesses reimagined as art majors:

1. Snow White: Interior Design

Snow White just loves a well-presented house. When she goes to live with the dwarves, she immediately starts cleaning and redecorating. She's totally an interior design major who will go on to host Extreme Makeover: Castle Edition.

2. Cinderella: Dance

All Cinderella wanted to do was go to the ball and practice her top notch dancing skills. The prince was just an added bonus. They'll definitely be throwing more balls in the future so they can show off their awesome moves.

3. Aurora: Fashion Design

Should the dress be pink, blue, or both? When Aurora's not taking one of her power naps, she's spending a bunch of time designing new outfits, with the help of her besties Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather, of course.

4. Ariel: Vocal Music

There's absolutely nothing Ariel loves to do more than sing. In fact, according to Ursula, her voice is her most valuable possession. Ariel's definitely that girl that's always singing, no matter where she is. She'd be wasting all that talent if she wasn't a vocal music major.

5. Belle: Creative Writing

If you're ever looking for Belle you can find her in the town bookstore or the library. She's such a bookworm, and everybody knows it. It's only natural that a love of writing goes along with that love of reading. And if you're really nice, she might even let you read some of her stories.

6. Jasmine: Photography

Princess Jasmine just wants to travel all over the world. But there's no point in traveling if you can't take pictures of all the amazing sights you see. She'll major in photography and everyone will be jealous of her job as photographer for a travel magazine.

7. Pocahontas: Art History

As a true historical character, Pocahontas obviously cares about the history of art and artists. She'll major in art history with an emphasis on color theory ('Colors of the Wind' anyone?). She'll wind up with a job at an art museum teaching the visitors about the significance of what they see, just like she teaches John Smith about the significance of her culture.

8. Mulan: Theatre

You've got to be a pretty good actor if you're able to convince a group of people that you're a completely different person. Mulan's got great acting skills, and she's willing to do anything to get the part, even chopping off her beautiful long hair.

9. Tiana: Culinary Arts

Tiana works hard to get what she wants, and what she wants is her own restaurant. When she's not busy studying and doing homework, she's making her friends some of the best tasting beignets this side of Louisiana. With a culinary arts degree, that restaurant will be opening in no time.

10. Rapunzel: Visual Arts/Painting

Rapunzel's got lots of artistic abilities. She knows how to cook, play guitar, and sew. But her favorite activity is painting. She's totally going to get in trouble when the RAs find out she's painted murals on her dorm room walls, not that she cares.

11. Elsa: Visual Arts/Sculpting

Elsa wins first place in every ice sculpting competition she's ever participated in. Sculpting just comes naturally to her. Whether it be snowmen or entire castles, she loves to create works of art with her hands.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
