1. Doctor Strange
Marvel's next big release will be Doctor Strange! 2. Moana
Disney is releasing their 56th animated movie, adding another musical to their résumé, and introducing a new princess all in one movie: Moana! 3. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
"Taking place before the events of "A New Hope," "Rogue One" follows a group of rebels who try to steal the plans for the Death Star." This movie was directed by Gareth Edwards, the same man who did Godzilla in 2014. Christmas will come a little early this year because Rogue One is released on December 16, 2016! 4. Beauty and the Beast
Yes, another live-action version of a classic princess story! With the success of Cinderella, we can only assume that Beauty and the Beast will dazzle audiences. Belle will be played by Emma Watson and Le Fou will be played by Josh Gad. You may know Gad from Frozen, where he voiced Olaf, the happy snowman. 5. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
You can't deny that you loved the first one! Get excited for a second Guardians of the Galaxy, directed by James Gunn. Returning cast includes stars such as Chris Pratt (Peter Quill), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Bradley Cooper (voice of Rocket), and Vin Diesel (voice of Groot). This movie will be released May 5th, 2017.
6. Star Wars: Episode VIII
Although this movie is still without a title, it is something to look forward. Its director and screenplay writer is Rian Johnson, director of several episodes of the hit show, "Breaking Bad". With a release date of May 26th, 2017, it will be exciting to see what Disney continues in this epic saga. According to imdb, filming wrapped up on July 10th, 2016. Are you ready for episode VIII?
7. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
That's right, number 5! "In this sequel, a down-on-his-luck Jack Sparrow faces a terrifying ghost ship led by his old nemesis Captain Salazar." For you Johnny Depp fans, have no fear, he will be returning as Captain Jack Sparrow! Also, Orlando Bloom will be returning as Will Turner. The new pirates adventure embarks on May 26th, 2017!
8. Cars 3
Disney and Pixar are at it again. Very little details are known about this movie, but two things are for sure: Owen Wilson will be back to voice Lightening McQueen and it will be released on June 16th, 2017.
9. Spider-Man: Homecoming
Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is back again! This film will feature Tom Holland as Spider-Man, Zendaya as Michelle, and Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man. Look for it in theaters July 7th, 2017.
10. Thor: Ragnarok
Although not much is known about this film yet, it is rumored that the Hulk will be making an appearance. Also, ladies, you can look forward to Chris Hemsworth returning (it wouldn't be Thor without him). The release date for the 3rd Thor film is November 3rd, 2017.
11. Coco
Last but definitely not least is Coco. Disney and Pixar's "Dia de los Muertos" (Day of the Dead) inspired family story. The actual cultural celebration of Dia de los Muertos is October 31st through November 2nd. But, you can look for this movie November 22nd, 2017.
