11 Costumes that You All Saw on Halloween.

If you took a shot every time you saw a certain costume, you'd be fast asleep by now.

11 Costumes that You All Saw on Halloween.

Obviously, Halloween was this past weekend, which means that most college students were probably out with their friends, roaming their college streets, looking and feeling good about themselves. Halloween is a time that college students look forward to and begin planning for way in advance (if only we could take those skills and put it towards our procrastination when it comes to homework). Everyone thinks that they have the best costume, however, we ALL know that there are those few costumes that if you took a shot every time you saw them: you'd probably be dead. So here are the most common costumes that you probably saw this Halloween:

1. Harley Quinn

This was a costume that they started making as soon as Suicide Squad hit theaters. The amount of Harley Quinn's walking around on Halloween would truly give anyone a headache. Here's a fun game that a lot of college students tried: take a shot every time you see a Harley Quinn. Are any of those people actually STILL alive?

2. The Purge

This is one of my least favorite costumes considering Halloween is the PERFECT time to have a purge. This costume is timeless considering everyone still understands the references when you put on a scary mask and carry around a large, fake gun.

3. A Scary Clown

With media being so prevalent in our lives, I wasn't shocked when I found that being a scary clown was a hit for this Halloween. Surprisingly, I did not beat any scary clowns up BUT I will be interested to watch the news and see if anything did occur to the scary clowns on Halloween.

4. An Angel and a Devil

You can bet where there is an angel, there is the devil right beside them.

5. A School Girl

This is such an easy costume to put together that this will ALWAYS be a top contender for Halloween costumes. Who doesn't want to wear thigh high socks and some slammin' pigtails?

6. A Cat

Or any other animal for that matter. Throw on a pair of cat ears and paint on some cat ears in 5 minutes and you have your costume. I'm betting you probably saw an entire zoo by the time you got back from Halloween festivities.

7. Game of Throne Characters

Once again, pop culture has taken over and therefore, people have decided to be Game of Throne characters, which is interesting considering I've heard a lot of them die?

8. Prisoner/OITNB

Whether it be a regular prisoner or a character from OITNB, I wouldn't be surprised if you saw the entire cast of the show by the time you got back to your place. With it's every increasing popularity, I would have been shocked if I didn't see any OITNB costumes.

9. Stranger Things characters

Shocking? NOT. Considering this is the only television show that people can agree on that they like, I was not shocked to find every character from Stranger Things out, roaming the streets on Halloween night.

10. Pokemon

While this was more a trend for the summer, the people who are truly dedicated created a costume to represent a popular trend that made America lose it's mind for the entire summer.

11. Donald Trump or Hilary Clinton

Now IS the time to wear a political costume considering the next time you'll be able to do this is in four years. If you're in college right now, in four years, you probably won't be dressing up (if you do, you go Glen Coco). So might as well choose your favorite or least favorite presidential candidate while you still can.

Are you shocked by my list? Probably not because you probably saw all of these costumes out this past weekend. But honestly, as long as you had a safe and enjoyable weekend: WHO CARES WHAT YOU WENT AS. Have fun and enjoy yourselves while you can bb's.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
