11 Comfort Foods For The Perfect Cheat Day

At some point in your life, you will or have claimed to go on a diet or a cleanse. You vow to yourself to hit the gym five times a week and to live on the berry and twig diet for the next however many months it takes to get that desired look you want. You tell yourself to drink anything but water and to resist those urges to go out and buy yourself a large fry from McDonald's.

The first week or two you are off to a good start, eating nothing but what today's weight- loss experts and body builders say is the best thing for you. You bust your butt off at the gym after work for two hours and then do it all again the next day. Nothing will stop you from eating bad food! You shouldn't eat any bad food while on your weight loss journey, right?

Wrong! Have a cheat meal or a cheat day every once in awhile! Here's a list of good ways to spend those extra calories and enjoy yourself! You deserve it!

1. Can't go wrong with the classic french fry!

That crisp, warm, salty taste of the first bite. You can never eat just one!

2. Donuts!

Whether it's from Dunkin Donuts, Krispy Kreme, or Hostess, you can never go wrong with the sweet taste of fried dough, layered in glaze and topped with chocolate or stuffed with jelly.

3. The delicious taste of potato chips.

There are too many flavors to love- classic chips, barbecue chips (my personal favorite), salt and vinegar, cheese puffs, kettle cooked, wavy chips, sour-cream and onion- you name it! Potato chips are another one where you can't eat just one and not have more.

4. Ice Cream!!

Ice cream sundae's, ice cream cakes, eating ice cream by the pint, Blizzards from Dairy Queen, the options are endless- and so is the amount of ice cream in the world!

5. The mother of all junk food- PIZZA!

I don't even have to try to sell this- the gif says enough.

6. Birthday cake!

It doesn't even have to be your birthday to enjoy a slice of heaven.

7. Wings galore!

Spicy or sweet- they are definitely the perfect midnight snack!

8. Mozzarella Sticks

That warm ooey-gooey cheese that can stretch as far as your arm can is just oh-so-divine. The perfect cheat snack.

9. Cookies

Always a delicious treat that goes great with a glass of milk.

10. Movie Theatre Popcorn

A personal favorite of mine- don't forget the extra butter and salt! Might as well go all out!

11. A cool, refreshing can of pop (or soda as some may call it)

Over ice, it is the perfect way to ease that sweet craving and the perfect drink to sit back and relax with.

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. Whether they are walking down the street or simply spacing out thinking about what to eat for dinner, it's very easy for others to assume that this person is either upset or mad at them. Because of this, those of us with Resting Bitch Face (RBF), and especially us women, have all experienced many of the same situations and conversations, including:

We've all had a crush before. Whether it leads to something or nothing, the process has all been the same. The awkward feelings, the stalking, and the stress of trying to keep this huge secret. The feeling of becoming a total spazz is something that cannot be avoided, and the most spazzy family that can relate to this feeling is the Belcher's.

At the tender age of 18, we are bestowed with the title of “adult.” For 17 years, we live under the rules and guidelines of our parents, school, and government, and to stray from any of those rules or guidelines marks us as a rebel. At 18, though, we must choose which college we want to go to or what career we want. We are allowed and encouraged to vote. We can buy lottery tickets and cigarettes. We can drop out of school, leave our household, and do other "adult" things. At 18, we start down a path of thinking for ourselves, when for the entirety of our lives other institutions have been mandated to think and do for us.

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
