11 Things College Students Say And Do When They Come Home

College is undeniably one of the best experiences any person can have, however, sometimes it's nice to get away from the chaos of it all. Some college students go away strictly on long breaks such as winter and fall break, but others, go back for long weekends. The funny part of it all, is all the little things the college students do or say when they're back home.

1. No more shower shoes! No more shower shoes!

Probably the best thing that happens off campus.

2. Wait, there's actual food?

Let's be real, we all appreciate a good home cooked meal.

3. Sleep

Getting more than five hours of sleep on campus is unheard of.

4. Attacking pets with affection

Some cry and some immediately drop to the floor to play with their furry friends.

5. What curfew?

Many of us students go back to our childhood home, and sometimes that comes with rules we are used to not having, including curfew. I have to be back at what time now?

6. Where's my roommate?

Majority of us college students have a roommate on campus, but at home we have our own rooms! But who are we supposed to say weird stuff to at 2 am?

7. Friends

We all freak out and can't wait to see our friends back home, but immediately miss our friends back on campus.

8. Where's the 3 am delivery?

College campus' are surrounded with awesome places that delivery crazy late, or early depending on how you look at it!

9. Driving

Sometimes taking a car to college isn't always easy... so you leave it at home. Your car becomes your new best friend. Goodbye walking and constantly sore legs!

10. Family

As much as they get on our nerves, when it comes down to it, we love and miss them.

11. I miss campus....

Before we know it we want to go back.

It is that time of year again. Christmastime. It is one of my favorite seasons for a myriad of reasons. Here are just a few reasons why I love Christmas. This list is in no order of importance.

1. The Christmas decorations

I am that person who will decorate directly after Thanksgiving is over. This year, my roommates and I put the tree up in our apartment before we even left for Thanksgiving break. It is a great stress reliever for me to just sit in my living room and work on the huge amount of work I have before the semester is over.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?
