As you get older, you'll find yourself growing out of things... but these 11 Christmas-time activities are ones you'll never be too old for!

1. Baking Christmas cookies

One thing that will never get old is baking Christmas cookies. As you get older, though, they go from sugar cookies with frosting to Santa Clause shaped masterpieces.

2. Wearing matching pajamas with your family

Although this may be embarrassing, you have to admit that it's fun to put on those snowflake-covered 'jammies.

3. Hand-making ornaments

When you're a kid, making an ornament is coloring a gingerbread man, poking a whole in him, and stringing through a piece of yarn. When you get older, however, making ornaments becomes an art. You can paint it, sew it, bedazzle it or make it smell all fancy.

4. Going to the Christmas parade

The Christmas parade is NOT just for kids. It's the best thing to bring out holiday spirit! From marching bands to baton twirlers to Santa riding a firetruck, the Christmas parade is a great experience for anyone!

5. Singing old Christmas songs

Whether you can sing or not, belting Christmas classics is another thing you'll never grow out of. They'll get you ready for the holidays, no doubt about it.

6. Making a gingerbread house

Making a gingerbread house is another one of those things that becomes an art. When you're a kid, sticking graham crackers together and pasting on some gumdrops is the extent of it. When you grow up a little bit, you'll bake gingerbread from scratch and construct the entire North Pole metropolitan area.

7. Watching cheesy Christmas movies

You are NEVER too old to sit on the couch in your pajamas and watch six hours of Christmas movies. Never.

8. Wearing Christmas-themed clothes

When I say Christmas-themed clothes, I mean the red, light-up, ho-ho-ho sweaters. Face it, these are fun to shop for and even more fun to wear in public. They show your Christmas spirit like nothing else!

9. Waking up at the crack of dawn on Christmas morning

I love to sleep, and I know you do too... but there's something special about waking up super early on Christmas morning that we'll never get too old for. It makes Christmas day so much more exciting!

10. Dumping an insane amount of mini marshmallows in your hot chocolate

Putting so many mini marshmallows in your mug that you can't even see the hot chocolate is the way to go, no matter how old you are.

11. Playing in the snow

Lastly, you'll never be too old to go outside and play in the snow. The snowmen will get bigger, the hills you find to sled down will get higher, and the igloos you build will get huger. It'll be freezing just like it was when you were a kid, but the fun is always there.

Don't forget, you're never too old to show some Christmas spirit!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."
