During the summer, I always seem to have extra time on my hands to sit back and relax. During this time, I like to catch up on a lot of great television shows that I possibly missed out on during the school. year, or ones that are new releases for the summer. That is why I have assembled a list of 11 binge worthy TV series for this summer.

1. Nailed It!

Nailed it is a baking show for anyone who has ever felt like they were terrible at baking. This show will definitely increase your baking self esteem as you see the inane creations amateur bakers try to recreate. It's truly a good show if you want to laugh.

2. Dancing With the Stars: Athletes

This is a series I love watching every single summer. It's a great way to get a little culture in your every day life while at the same time rooting on your favorite celebrities. Plus, this season it's all about the athletes which makes it even more fun!

3. Young Sheldon

This feel good comedy is a prequel to the hit show the Big Bang Theory. It follows the lives of a young Sheldon Cooper and his loving family, as they try to deal with Sheldon's quirky brilliance. It's a quick-witted and well-written comedy series for anyone who needs a pick me up or quick laugh.

4. Jersey Shore Family Vacation

This reality series sees all of the original jersey shore roommates reuniting and catching up on a "family vacation" to Miami, Florida. It's filled with loads of drama and tons of wacky hijinks that will keep you entertained for hours.

5. The Great Interior Design Challenge

This is the perfect show for any home improvement, DIY, or HGTV fanatics out there. For me it is like a perfect combination of the great British baking show and a home makeover.

6. Black-ish

This is a sitcom that combine the right amount of comedy with a grid mix of everyday issues. They deal with issues facing America right now like racism, family issues, and feminism. It's a show that will get you thinking.

7. Chrisley Knows Best

This eccentric reality show is going into it's sixth season following the lives of Todd Chrisley and his Southern family. Their family grabbles and hijinks can lead to hours of entertainment.

8. Undercover Boss: Celebrity Edition

I personally love Undercover Boss, and the heart warming stories that are presented in every episode. So, when I heard that a celebrity edition was coming out on May 11th, I was so excited I could hardly contain myself. Some of the celebrities set to appear on the show are Gabby Douglas, Indina Menzel, and Bethany Mota.

9. 13 Reasons Why

It seems everyone has been anxiously waiting for this series to return for season 2, and that is exactly what is happening on May 18th. Be prepared for more feels and much more drama.

10. The Bachelorette

This summer the bachelorette will return with Becca getting a second chance at romance after Arie savagely broke her heart at the end of last season, hopefully this time it will end better for everyone!

11. Queer Eye

This feel good makeover show is the perfect series for anyone craving a show with a joyous undertone. The makeovers given in this show will not inly brighten the recipient's day, but yours as well, when you see how hoary it truly makes them!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
