11 Big/Little Poses We've All Done

It's the happiest time of the year in sorority life right now, Big/Little. Girls in every sorority look forward to this. A time for a new member to find their family, and for a family to be able to add on. Every sorority has their own traditions that they do for Big/Little, the outfits they wear and how they do the actual reveal but all sororities have one thing in common: the pictures. In honor of Big/Little this year, here are 11 cliche Big/Little pictures we all do.

1. The classic family numbers pic.

Come on. Is it really Big/Little if you don't get the whole fam together and do a numbers pic? The answer is no. No it is not.

2. The Stacked Photo

As our girl Beyonce once sang, you put my love on top. You cannot do family photos without this pose.

3. The laying down in the grass photo.

Heck no are you just doing these pictures inside. You've got a new fam member to show off and the lighting outside is just right, so it's time to go lay in the grass and act like you are having fun!!!!! Forget that the angle usually gives you a double chin and that the grass is still wet from the rain last night, YOU ARE CUTE, FUN, AND FLIRTY.

4. The numbers in the air picture.

You have to make sure that your pictures are not only the perfect combination of cute and fun, but that they also look like you're coming straight off a Tumblr page. This pose seems to give females the artsy effect that they want for their photos, you know so we can max out on those Instagram likes.

5. The candid laughing photo.

People need to understand that your Big/Little relationship is better than everyone else's. The best way to portray this is through the laughing candid photo. Look, my fam is probably having WAY more fun than your fam.

6. The kiss on the cheek photo.

Big/Little pics are all about showing the love, and there's absolutely no way you can do this without the kiss on the cheek photo. No. Way.

7. The piggy back pose.

This pose is crucial. If you do not have a photo with your big on your back or the other way around, you are not officially big/little. Sorry but no.

8. Pictures with tulle.

Tulle is a sorority girl must have. If there's a special occasion in our sorority, chances are we'll be wearing tulle during it.

9. A picture of you and your little "throwing what you know"

You know, just in case everyone forgets what sorority you and your little are in.

10. The picture that just didn't work out.

You know, the ones you found on the camera roll after the photo session from when your photographer kept snapping pics. What were you guys going for? You don't know. Are you ok? You know, maybe.

11. Lastly, the "stare into each others eyes adoringly" pose.

You gotta make sure people feel and see the love.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Blair Waldorf
Stop Hollywood

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama.
