11 Bible Verses To Help You Get Through A Bad Day
Changing The Face Of Christianity

Life is full of ups and downs. We all have those days where nothing is going right. On days like this, I like to sit down in a quiet room and listen to some Chris Tomlin, Third Day, Hillsong, and keep telling myself that everything is going to work out for the better. These are 11 verses that I turn to when I feel like my world is crumbling down around me:

1. You are not alone.

"It is the lord who goes before you. He will be with you; He will not leave or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed" ~Deuteronomy 31:8

2. Keep believing.

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." ~Romans 15:13

3. Run and rest in Jesus.

"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. for my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." ~Matthew 11:28-30

4. Cherish each day.

"On a good day, enjoy yourself; on a bad day, examine your conscience. God arranges for both kinds of days so we wont take anything for granted." ~Ecclesiastes 7:14

5. Everything happens for a reason.

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that testing your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete not lacking anything." ~James 1:2-5

6. He is in control.

"And we know that god causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them." ~Romans 8:28-29

7. He is faithful.

"No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." ~1 Corinthians 10:13

8. With Him, you are safe.

"You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance." ~Psalm 32:7

9. God is present. Let him be your refuge.

"God is out refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." ~Psalm 46:1

10. You can do anything.

" I can do all things through him who strengthens me.~ Philippians 4:13

11. Thank Him.

"do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." ~Philippians 4:6-7

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
