With a new year, and a new semester for students, it's understandable that people are anxious about the new year, the new problems that will come, and the old problems that are still around. With all this anxiety rising, I've been searching my Bible for God to show me that it's all going to be okay, and I found some answers.
1. 1 Peter 5:7
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."
2. Philippians 4:6-7
"Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."
3. Isaiah 43:1
"But now, O Jacob, listen to the Lord who created you. O Israel, the one who formed you says, "Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine."
4. Matthew 6:34
"So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today."
5. Psalm 46:10a
"Be still, and know that I am God!"
6. Psalm 46:1-2
"God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea."
7. Proverbs 12:25
"Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up."
8. Psalm 55:22
"Give your burdens to the Lord, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall."
9. Luke 10:41-42
"But the Lord said to her, "My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her."
10. Hebrews 13:5b
"For God has said, "I will never fail you. I will never abandon you."
11. Hebrews 13:6
"So we can say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?"
