If you're anything like me, it can be easy for your mind to wander to everything that you have to do for the day. As a result, your attitude tends to just be set on everything you have to accomplish and typically is stressed out. If you're having a bad day, or needed to be reminded of the good going on in your life, here are 11 bible verses to brighten your day.

1. John 16:22, " I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world."

2. 2 Thessalonians 3:16, "Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.

3. Psalm 50:15, "And call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me."

4. Matthew 7:7, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you."

5. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."

6. Psalm 31:7-8, "I will rejoice and be glad in your steadfast love, because you have seen my affliction; you have known the distress of my soul, and you have not delivered me into the hand of the enemy; you have set my feet in a broad place."

7. Romans 15:13, "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope."

8. Psalm 121:7-8, "The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore."

9. Numbers 6:24-26, "The Lord bless you and keep you' the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace."

10. 1 Corinthians 16:23-24, The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you. My love be with you all in Christ Jesus."

11. Jeremiah 1:5, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations."

So as you continue through this week, be reminded of what God has done for and is doing in your life. Be reminded of all the good things that He is doing for you and trust in Him.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
