Do you need a mouthwatering sweet something RIGHT NOW? Then you must try these super easy, super cheap and super tasty desserts! All of them are ready from mixing to eating in less than 10 minutes and all are made out of stuff that you probably already have. Even the most bare cupboard and lowest budget can make these luscious desserts in a mug. I guarantee you will find one you gotta have. Keep ingredients on hand to create something new for every night of the week!

1. Red Velvet in Minutes

Ingredients

6 tablespoons red velvet cake mix

2 tablespoons oil

1 egg

3 tablespoons milk or water

Cream cheese frosting or sweetened whipped cream, if desired

Directions

In medium bowl, beat all ingredients except frosting until well combined.

Microwave on high 3-4 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Serve warm or cool with frosting or whipped cream.

2. Luscious Lemon Mug Cake

Ingredients

Cake

3 tbsp all-purpose flour

1⁄4 tsp baking powder

1⁄8 tsp salt

1 egg

3 tbsp granulated sugar

1 tbsp vegetable oil

1 1⁄2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

1 tsp finely grated lemon zest

Icing

1⁄3 cup confectioners' sugar

1 1⁄2 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

Directions

Cake: In mug, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Using a fork, beat in remaining cake ingredients until very well blended.

Microwave on High for 11⁄2 to 2 minutes or until center is just set. Let cool 2 minutes.

Icing: In a small bowl or cup, combine confectioners’ sugar and lemon juice until smooth. Pour over cake.

Tips

You can also use 1⁄8 tsp lemon extract in place of the lemon zest.

3. Skinny Cheesecake Mug

Ingredients

2 ounces cream cheese, softened

2 tablespoons sour cream

1 egg

½ teaspoons lemon juice

¼ teaspoons vanilla

4-5 packets sugar substitute (to taste)

1 whole graham or cinnamon graham cracker, crushed

Directions

Mix all ingredients thoroughly in a microwave-safe bowl. Cook on high heat for 1 1/2 minutes, stirring thoroughly at the half way point. Refrigerate 30 minutes.

Optional: Add fresh fruit and whipped cream if desired.

4. Morning Mug Banana Bread

Ingredients

3 Tbs. flour

2 teaspoons sugar

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1/8 teaspoons salt

1/8 teaspoons baking powder

1/8 teaspoons baking soda

1 egg

1/4 tablespoons vanilla extract

1 tablespoons oil

1 tablespoons milk

Half a banana, mashed

Dashes Cinnamon and/Nutmeg to taste

1 Tb nuts, opt.

1 tsp Turbanado or regular sugar, opt.

Directions

In a large mug (or any nuker safe dish) blend all ingredients well.

Sprinkle with nuts and sugar if using.

Microwave 1-1/2 minutes to 3 minutes, checking at halfway point.

5. Super Cinnamon Roll in a Mug

Ingredients

6 tablespoons spice cake mix

1 single serve cup applesauce (or 1/2 cup)

1 tablespoon oil

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon sugar

3 tablespoons cream cheese frosting

Directions

In a small bowl, stir together cake mix, oil and applesauce. In separate cup Mix cinnamon and sugar and swirl into cake batter gently to create ribbons.

Spoon half of the batter into a large (soup sized) mug or small bowl.

Spoon half of cream cheese frosting onto of the batter. Top with the remaining batter.

Microwave for 1-1/2 to 3 minutes checking at half way point. Spread remaining icing over cake and let sit for at least 2 minutes.

6. Stellar Strawberry Cake in a Hurry


Ingredients

6 tablespoons strawberry cake mix

1 egg

3 tablespoons milk

1 tablespoon oil

Strawberry, Cream Cheese or Vanilla Icing

Fresh Strawberries, if desired

Whipped Cream, if desired

Chocolate Syrup if desired

Directions

Mix all ingredients in large mug (soup sized) or small bowl. Microwave 3-4 minutes, checking at half way mark. Cool completely before icing. Drizzle with chocolate sauce if desired.

7. Warm & Gooey PBJ

Ingredients

6 tablespoons complete pancake mix

6 tablespoons milk or water

1 tablespoon peanut butter

1 tablespoon jelly

Glaze:

1/2 tablespoon peanut butter

2 tablespoons maple syrup

Instructions

Mix pancake mix and milk or water. Swirl in peanut butter and jelly. Microwave for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes to desired doneness.

For Glaze:

Mix ingredients together in a bowl and microwave for 15-30 seconds, drizzle over top of mug.

8. Chocolate Cake NOW!

Ingredients

6 tablespoons all-purpose flour

3 level tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

4 tablespoons sugar

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1.2 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 cup milk

3 tablespoons vegetable oil

2 tablespoon chocolate-hazel nut spread or icing

Directions

In a small bowl or large mug (soup size) combine the dry ingredients. Add vanilla, milk and oil. Whisk together with a fork.

Spoon chocolate-hazelnut spread or icing on top of the batter.

Microwave mug on high for 2 minutes. Remove and let stand 1-2 minutes.

9. Dreamcicle Mug Cake

Ingredients

6 tablespoons orange cake mix

1 egg

3 tablespoons milk

1 tablespoon oil

3 tablespoons Vanilla Icing

Orange Sherbet or Vanilla Ice cream, if desired

Directions

Vanilla ice cream, or orange sherbet if desired

Mix all ingredients in large mug (soup sized) or small bowl. Microwave 3-4 minutes, checking at half way mark. Cool completely before icing. Top with a scoop of orange sherbet or vanilla ice cream if desired.

10. Birthday Cake in a Mug

Ingredients

6 tablespoons funfetti cake mix

4 tablespoons regular or almond milk

2 tablespoons oil

3 tablespoons vanilla icing

Vanilla ice cream, if desired

Additional sprinkles, if desired

Directions

In large mug or small bowl combine all ingredients and mix well.

Microwave for 1 1/2 - 2 minutes. Cool completely before icing. Serve with a scoop of ice cream and additional sprinkles if desired.

11. Ooey Gooey Mug Brownie

Ingredients

3 tablespoons flour

2-3 tablespoons regular or brown sugar

3 tablespoons Cocoa Powder

1 tablespoon oil

4 tablespoons water

pinch of salt

1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla extract

2-3 teaspoons chocolate chips, if desired

Instructions

In a microwavable mug mix together all of the ingredients.

Microwave for 1 minute. Allow to cool for at least 5 minutes.

Note: 1-3 tablespoons of chopped nuts and/or chocolate chips may be added to batter if desired.
