11 Best YouTube MUA's, Ranked
rachaeldivers.com

Disclaimer: This is entirely my opinion, formed over several years of religiously devouring every tutorial and "get ready with me" that YouTube has to offer. These are my favorite MUA's, ranked.

11: Nicol Concilio

This teeny beauty is relatively new to the YouTube makeup scene, but she is taking social media by storm. Nicol started out in music, but with her Halloween tutorials last fall, she solidified her name online.

10: Michelle Phan

Michelle Phan is an oldie but a goodie--she's been on YouTube since 2006! Her soothing voice and variety of videos makes her a staple for those trying to get into the makeup scene.

9: Lauren Curtis

This Aussie beauty is so fun to listen to! Her piercing blue eyes hypnotize you while you watch.

8: Manny Mua

The first of several boys who wear makeup on my list, and, to quote Manny, "If you don't like this video, if you don't like me--PLEASE don't fucking watch it." Manny slays smoky eyes and even has his own collaboration with MakeupGeek cosmetics!

7: NikkieTutorials

Nikkie is a personal favorite of mine because I, too, have deep set eyes. She recently partnered up with TooFaced cosmetics, and I cannot wait to see what they roll out. Her "Power of Makeup" video started an online craze. It showcased her face half bare and half fully made up, in order to inspire others to love themselves with or without makeup.

6: Carli Bybel

Carli is a Jersey girl, and her and her boyfriend, Brett, make the cutest couple. Her long, luscious hair and bright eyes are only enhanced by her personality. One of the unique things about Carli is that before every video, she puts an empowering quote in order to encourage her viewers to love themselves.

5: Nicole Guerriero

Nicole's ever-changing hair keeps me on the edge of my seat. Her punk-glam style is to die for, and her Car Ride Chronicles crack me up.

4: jeffreestar

My favorite pink Glamazon, Jeffree even has his own line of cosmetics! His liquid lipsticks are to die for, and everyone should own the shade Androgyny. He frequently has guests from RuPaul's Drag Race as well as fellow YouTubers.

3: KathleenLights

It's hard to believe that this beauty is only 24 years young. She frequently uploads videos doing drugstore hauls, which sets her apart from other YouTubers.

2: PatrickStarrr

Patrick should have his own reality show, for real. His humor and can-do attitude are amazing, and they way he beats his face is awe-inspiring. And can we talk about the turban? SLAY.

1: Jaclyn Hill

QUEEN. Jaclyn was the first person I subscribed to when I finally made an account on YouTube. Her tutorials are flawless, and her Q&A's are so genuine. Last December she came out with a video where she broke down in tears because of all the negativity that was occurring on her channel. The video was raw and real, and solidified my love for Jaclyn.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
