1) Food

A common tradition amongst families around the holiday's are special recipes, whether it be a meal, or a dessert. My mom makes a peanut butter fudge every year, only around Christmas time, so there is something exciting about getting to eat treats that only come around every now and then.

2) Christmas Cards

While people often get caught up in the hustle and bustle of holiday, it is so heart warming to receive Christmas Cards/Photos from friends near and far. One of my side hobbies being photography I attached one of my favorite Christmas card photos I've taken this season.

3) Giving

It would be a lie to say I don't enjoy getting presents, but giving is my favorite part. It is so exciting to get something special for your loved ones, and watching them open it on Christmas.

4) Christmas Music

There is nothing like a Michael Buble holiday album to get you into the holiday spirit. There will be no blue Christmas's when there are about 106 different versions of "All I want for Christmas is You" to listen to.

5) Christmas Movies

Oh my goodness, is there anything better than curling up in a big blanket, drinking hot chocolate and watching your favorite Christmas movies all day? I think not!

6) The Smell of the Christmas Tree

There is something so comforting about the smell of a Christmas Tree. It is not something you wanna smell all year long though, and thats why it's so nice getting to take in the aroma for the 25-30 days we do.

7) Christmas PJ's

I get a new pair usually on Christ Eve, and it's so much fun to have funky pajamas specifically designated for present opening.

8) Cooler Weather

Okay, I know what you're thinking...this is Florida...we don't have cool weather. Well, this is sort of true, however we do experience lower temperatures in December than normal,. Allow we won't be having a white Christmas anytime soon, we have fortunately been blessed with a few cold days this season.

9) Holiday Parties

I don't know about the rest of you, but a good ole fashioned Christmas party, with some white elephant sounds like a great time to me! Let's wear ugly sweaters, and steal crappy presents from each other more often.

10) Christmas Lights

These are one of the prettiest sights to see. Driving through towns and neighborhoods with houses decked out in lights makes my heart so happy.

11) Family

There are so many great things about Christmas time, but family is by far the best. Seeing family you haven't seen in or awhile or just having some quality time with your close family during this time is so nice. Nothing beats opening your stocking with your favorite people Christmas morning.
