When it comes to making New Year's resolutions, it can be hard to find a balance between a good goal and something you can actually stick to. Eighty percent of New Year's resolutions fail by February. Don't be one of those people and try one of these, perhaps you'll find success or learn something about yourself in the process.
1. Cut Starbucks out of your budget.
Even if you only go once a week, unless you order plain coffee, you're probably going to save yourself like five dollars a trip.
2. Stop procrastinating
Yes, I know Netflix is a thing. Yes, those memes on Twitter are entertaining.
Control yourself and stop while you're ahead. You'll thank yourself later.
3. Stop live tweeting the Bachelor/Bachelorette
You don't need to tweet something that every other girl is tweeting. Save your tweets and enjoy the show with your friends, or save all your non-fan friends from reading your updates.
4. Try those Pinterest recipes you pinned last year
You pinned 800 new recipes. Are you ever going to try any of them? Now would be the time to find out.
5. Stop drinking wine (or at least cut down)
Let's be honest, you are probably drinking way more than needed to reap the health benefits you read about online.
6. Drink more water
We're about 60 percent water. Enough said.
7. Clean off your clothing chair
We all have that chair which we just dump everything on. This may seem impossible, but trying to keep it clean will get rid of so much clutter in your life.8. Go to the gym
You don't have to lose weight to be healthy (you can gain muscle), but going to the gym or exercising is a must to be healthy. I know, it sucks.
9. Stop binge eating Talenti gelato
Those cute little pints are so yummy, but they're probably killing your fitness goals...and your wallet.
10. Clean your closet
You will find so many things you forgot you had. Also, you will find plenty of things you no longer wear, which can be sold to fund some going out or donated to charity.
11. Don't stress too much
Finding a new club, trying a new gym class, reading, writing in a journal, cooking or just watching a movie is a great way to de-stress. While you want to try resolutions out, remember you are human.
