It's always a struggle to find a great gift for the writer who has their office or bedroom covered wall-to-wall with books and notebooks pressed into every corner of their home. For this holiday season, take a look at the list below and I'm sure you'll find at least one gift the writer in your life will love. And did I mention these are all affordable?

1. Writer’s Block ($12)

This literal writer's block is a great piece of office decor for that one writer you know. Perfect as a stocking stuffer!

2. English Majors Get Lit Mug ($15)

Pun intended. English majors want you to know all about how great, and frustrating, it is to be one. Give them the gift of sipping on coffee while avoiding eye contact with other humans, but still getting across how awesome they are with this mug.

3. I Am Silently Correcting Your Grammar T-shirt ($28)

Literally, all writers are cringing at your inability to know the difference between there, their, and they're. Help them convey how totally judgy they are with this t-shirt.

4. Take Note Candle ($24)

I'm just not sure there's anything better than being able to write on a candle. Ambiance and efficiency!

5. The Writer’s Toolbox ($25)

The games and exercises included in The Writer's Toolbox is meant to inspire the 'write' side of your brain. It's the perfect gift for aspiring writers.

6. Stephen King On Writing ($15)

Stephen King is one of the major writing forces of the universe and any writer would be crazy not to want to give this book a read.

7. Write On Printable ($10+)

Just buy this, print it out, stick it in a frame and you've got a cheap and simplistic office decor gift that will remind your writer to never, ever stop writing.

8. Aqua Notes Waterproof Note Pad ($9)

All of the best ideas come to us in the shower when we can't write them down. Everyone knows that! Help keep your writer's brain always focused on the task at hand by gifting them this really awesome waterproof notepad.

9. Starbucks Gift Card (However much you want! I recommend at least $15)

COFFEE. Need I say more?

10. Laptop Case ($18)

Obviously your writer will have to get out of their comfy space sometimes to find inspiration. Get them a laptop case to make leaving the house a little easier.

11. Procrastination Pencils ($7)

Procrastination Pencils: Just one more excuse for writer's to not write. Honestly, it's the perfect gift.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
