Fall

Summer is slowly fading away and fall is going to be here before we know it. With summer gone we can't do much of the summer activities with the new season due to weather changes. But don't let that stop you from having a fun filled fall! There is a lot to do in the fall and I am here to help you have a fall filled with memories you won't forget.

1, Apple Picking

Just because the weather is crisp and a tad bit colder than what summer brought doesn't mean you can't enjoy being outside. Apple picking is a great weekend activity that you can do with the family, your best friend, or make a date out of it and do it with your significant other. Apple picking is great, apples can be snacks for the week, you can turn those apples into a fall favorite of apple cider or make yourself a delicious apple pie. When you think fall, you think of apples and pumpkins.

2. Pumpkin Patch

Another great fall activity is going to a pumpkin patch and taking your time picking out the perfect pumpkin. It can be perfectly round, orange, and big enough to decorate however you want. You can also pick those pumpkins that are quirky, have different colors, small, shaped like giant lopsided pear. Whatever you decide to pick up, it's a great memory to share with others.

3. Corn Maze

For my bucket list for fall this year is to go through a corn maze, I've never been to one but for some reason it sounds fun to get lost in a maze of corn for a good hour or so. Corn mazes are super cute and can be done in a group or with another person. It can be a romantic walk trying to find your way out to the other side or it can become competitive and the first one out wins.

4. Bonfires

Bonfires pair perfectly with the fall weather. What is more relaxing than chilling with all of your friends reminiscing and catching up around a giant fire?

5. Oktoberfest

An activity for those parents who need date night, or those of you 21 and above can head out and go to Oktoberfest, something I've never been to yet as I just turned 21 in the summer, and this fall would be my first to attend an Oktoberfest. With fall comes spiced beers and drunken nights with new friends. You can be cliché for one night and try everything pumpkin spiced just to say you tried it.

6. Cozy night in

I get cold pretty easily, I still wrapped blankets around myself this past summer. No matter where I am, I am cold all the time. So there are going to be times where it is just too cold for me to do something outside, but who says staying in has to be boring? A nice cup of hot chocolate and a movie marathon, I don't see anything that could be better for a night in.

7. Halloween

With fall comes Halloween and for all of you who crave the suspense of characters dressed up in terrifying costumes ready to pounce at any given moment at a victimless girl, than you can head to your local haunted house or scary hay ride and get all the thrills and chills.

8. Festivals

Fall also brings festivals, I love festivals, no matter what the festival is I will most likely be there, and one thing I absolutely love is fall festivals. They bring crafty decorations, great food and drinks, trendy clothes and being at a fall festival brings in a great atmosphere.

9. Hiking

Another activity to keep your fall filled with fun is going for a hike. All the leaves are changing, mountains are more stunning than ever, and its great to breathe in the fresh air while taking in the moments of the change in scenery.

10. LEAVES

Towards the end of fall, the leaves will start to drop off the trees and even though this next activity is a classic its still an all time favorite. Raking up a pile of leaves whether its in your yard or at a park, there is nothing more fulfilling than jumping into the pile. It's fun for the whole family!

11. Football

With fall comes football and gearing up to tailgate for a game or making dips to have a fan party inside, you can never go wrong with cheering for your favorite teams. It is always more fun having both fans of the two teams versing each other as it makes for great smack talking, hyping up before the game starts and bragging rights once the game is over.

These are only a few of the many activities one can do during the fall, but it will definitely get your fall season kicked off to a good start!

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
