Who doesn't love a good movie? I have so many favorite movies I simply cannot pick only one. Movies are great, they can cause so many emotions. Movies can make you smile, cry, get the chills, hide your eyes, and laugh until your stomach hurts. I can tell you that you should watch so many movies, but these 10 are a must see.
1. Dirty Dancing
Who doesn't want to watch Patrick Swayze dance? You can even learn some new dance moves from this one. This classic movie might make you wanna get up and dance and maybe find a bad boy. Don't forget, no one puts Baby in a corner.
2. My Girl
This is a good one, and will always be one of my favorites. This movie helps you connect with your childlike side and innocent days. It also does a great job with explaining loss of a loved one/friend and helps explain mourning. A must see for everyone.
3. Grease
Leather jackets, hand-jiving, and pink ladies...if you haven't seen this one, drop everything you're doing right now. You will instantly fall in love with John Travolta and Olivia Newton, or as some of you know, Danny and Sandy. This movie is a musical but it is perfectly put together with the right mix of songs, humor and old school love. And fun fact for ya, when I was little I was dead set on marrying Danny, I think he was my first love.
4. Tuck Everlasting
I am completely in love with this movie, and not too many people have heard of or watched it. You are missing out. Set in an older time, a young, rich girl who is very sheltered runs away from home and runs into a very interesting family with a big secret. She learns how to live life simply and falls in love with it. You'll have to watch it to find out how it ends.
5. Mean Girls
You know you'd be lying to yourself if you said this movie isn't great. Most girls can almost quote this movie word for word, I know I can. Even if you aren't a girly person, you should still watch it, it's hilarious, trust me.
6. Beaches
This 1988 movie is a classic. It all starts when two totally different girls meet underneath the beach boardwalk. CC Bloom and Hilary grow up together and stay friends till the end. This is a movie that really shows you what life long friendship is and will leave you with some tears.
7. Clueless
Hands down one of the best chick flick movies of the 90's. Matching plaid outfits and cellphones with antennas, it's a must see. This movie is cute and funny, perfect for a girls night, I mean "As if!"
8. The Breakfast Club
Some don't click with this one but some people relate to it so easily. It takes a mature mind to understand this movie. This movie includes problems that the everyday teen deals with, whether you notice or not. And each of these characters add some uniqueness to the story.
9. Pretty Woman
A businessman and a hooker fall in love. I know right...these two go through obstacles with living in two completely different worlds. I'm such a Julia Roberts fan, so this is a classic for me. It puts a twist on your basic romance movie.
10. The Lizzie McGuire movie
Ok, I know this movie isn't really as serious as some of the others might be but it is still one of the all time best. Especially for young people of our generation. I'm a sophomore in college, and when this movie came on the other day I completely lost it. Also it has one of the best soundtracks ever. You should also watch this movie because it has one of the best live performances you will ever see.
