Limitless Quotes

A pill (codename NZT), that for twelve hours, makes you the smartest person in the world. You are literally Limitless, but the side effects can pretty steep. You become numb, you puke, you sweat a lot; your eye sight goes blurry at random moments and eventually it kills you, but only from prolonged exposure.

This line is the prospective opening for the 2011 movie as well as the Netflix series, "Limitless". The biggest question is; would you take NZT yourself? This drug allows you to solve the hardest math equations, solve the most complex criminal cases, even give you the thought s of the best ways to become a successful candidate for president, if you wanted that, but would you take it with the side effects being so great and what would you do if you did take NZT. Personally, I would take NZT, but no more than 5 pills. Now, what I would do with that knowledge and my brain working on overdrive is the interesting part.

I would do three very simple things. The first thing I would do would be gamble. I would take a small amount of money, no more than 300 dollars or so and just build that up into a nice chunk of cash. I would split my winnings in half and use some for my own personal use. I’d take the other half and gamble that again in order to make a bit more. Let’s assume at this point, the first pill is wearing off, so I would leave the casino and call it a day.

With the second pill, after the side effects of the first one wear off, I would pull up stocks and split my winnings from the night before into the top stocks that’ll make me back the most money over time and keep track of those so that not only myself, but my family could be well off in the future. This way, there is never any sort of overly complicated struggle for money in my direct family again. See, at least in doing this, with whatever career path people down my family line would choose, if there was some sort of project or start-up, or something they wanted to try, they would be able to without the need so too much assistance.

Now, we’re down to the third and final pill. With the third pill, I would literally just sit in a library, read, and take notes (that I would be able to understand if I were on or off of NZT). This was, I can just expand my general knowledge and be successful in my own general schooling and future endeavors. I would keep the last two pill in case of an emergency. I’d keep them on my person so that whenever, if ever I needed the full power of my brain I would have the option.

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. Whether they are walking down the street or simply spacing out thinking about what to eat for dinner, it's very easy for others to assume that this person is either upset or mad at them. Because of this, those of us with Resting Bitch Face (RBF), and especially us women, have all experienced many of the same situations and conversations, including:

We've all had a crush before. Whether it leads to something or nothing, the process has all been the same. The awkward feelings, the stalking, and the stress of trying to keep this huge secret. The feeling of becoming a total spazz is something that cannot be avoided, and the most spazzy family that can relate to this feeling is the Belcher's.

At the tender age of 18, we are bestowed with the title of “adult.” For 17 years, we live under the rules and guidelines of our parents, school, and government, and to stray from any of those rules or guidelines marks us as a rebel. At 18, though, we must choose which college we want to go to or what career we want. We are allowed and encouraged to vote. We can buy lottery tickets and cigarettes. We can drop out of school, leave our household, and do other "adult" things. At 18, we start down a path of thinking for ourselves, when for the entirety of our lives other institutions have been mandated to think and do for us.

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
