I arrived in time-- 5:30pm-- which was late. The line wrapped around the block and I was in the middle somewhere. I went alone to this concert and as a newbie did not know the rules or anything. As soon as I got inside I went to the front area of the stage so I could be closer.
The first band that came on was Bad Omens. I had never heard of them because they are a newer band and now I'm obsessed with their self-titled album. The band had a good vibe and was a good start to the show. They were more supportive of the crowd being there to support music. They did a great performance and overall I'm just a new fan.
Upon A Burning Body was another band whom I didn't know much about.I haven't heard any of their songs other than: See Stars and Born of Osiris. Their music is catchy and they have a great sound to them. The band was nice and exciting.
The Burial played next. Once again I did not know them either but they-- just like Upon A Burning Body-- they were exciting and everyone else knew them.
I See Stars were better in concert. You could hear every word better live than through your headphones. They included the crowd in a Mannequin Challenge video they were doing.
Born of Osiris were the prefect segue to Asking Alexandria. They were nice, loud and their lyrics were amazing. All in all I feel that all the bands in the 10 Years In The Black tour were amazing and had a great connection the the audience.
Asking Alexandria were great in concert. Danny and Bruce joked with the audience and really told a story of their time together as a band. From their first song to their last, Danny joked about everything down to a fan throwing her bra at him and claiming to get pink eye because something fell in his eye. Danny voice sounded better than ever.
In the end, I was happy and grateful that I went. I caught Cameron's pick when he threw it into the crowd, which I would have never gotten otherwise.
