The 10 Worst Kinds of Retail Customers

Working in retail is already hard work without adding the stress of these different kinds of customers. We all know the struggle of what it is like to help these kind of awful people. Just remember to keep on smiling because the customer is always right...even if they are completely wrong.

  1. “The know it all”- These customers don’t need any help because they already know everything and whatever you say won’t help them. They already know all of the deals and where everything they need is located because they’re the ones who work there, right?

2. “The ignorer”- These are the customers who ignore you as you greet them into the store and while you ask them if they need any help. Sorry for bothering you, but it’s our job to ask you!

3. “The cheapskate”- These customers always complain about the prices, even though you have nothing to do with them. They always ask if you have any coupons that they could use and you never do.

4. “The lost soul”- These customers are mostly the men and boys coming in to shop for their significant others or the females in their life, and having absolutely no idea what to get.

5. “The personal shopper”- These customers assume that you have nothing else to do and ask you to show them everything as you become their personal shopper.

6. “The forgetter”- These are the customers who get to the register and realize they need to grab a few more things while you have to wait for them, even though people are in line wondering why it's taking so long.

7. “The asker”- These customers ask the most obvious questions. Yes, we are there to help your shopping experience be easier, but the price tag says the price right there!

8. “The arguer”- No matter what you do these customers complain about the lines, the prices, the sales, the product itself, and even nothing. They argue just to hear themselves talk.

9. “The wanderer”- These are the customers who could spend days in the store, walking around and looking at things but never end up buying anything.

10. "The tornado”- These customers mess up the displays and can even mess up the store. They put things in the wrong places and leave the mess for you to clean up just like an actual tornado.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
