The 10 Worst Candies You Got Trick or Treating As a Kid

We all know the feeling of excitement we used to get when Halloween was near, there couldn’t be a better day in the year. In one night you got hundreds of pieces of candy to last a lifetime (maybe a week) and got to dress up as your favorite character, superhero, or celebrity. Honestly what could be more fun? The only down fall of trick or treating was receiving those god awful candies that we all dreaded to find in our pillow cases at the end of the night. Our taste in candy may vary but I think we can agree there is definitely a top 10 we all dreaded. Here they are...

1. Necco Wafers

They taste like chalk and should have a warning label on them.

2. Almond Joys

ALMOND JOYS...just no, please no.

3. Pretzels/Apples/Popcorn etc...

Who were the horrible people who gave out things like pretzels and apples on Halloween...are they serious it's the ONE night of the year its acceptable to eat as much CANDY as you want! not apples...

4. Whoppers

...don't even get me started, #1 disgusting #2 shouldn't be considered a candy

5. Tooth paste/ Toothbrush

If you were one of the people who gave out a tooth brush or tooth paste at Halloween you're just EVIL and a childhood destroyer.

6. Tic Tacs

We wanted candy not something to make out breath smell better...

7. Mary Jane

Never tried these, never will, they should go extinct in the candy world.

8. Bit-O-Honey

Gross little things that rotted at the bottom of the pillow case because no one was daring enough to try them.

9. Good and Plenty

They reminded me of pills when I was younger, and quite frankly I didn't want to be eating pills on HALLOWEEN!

10. Dots

Ewwy, gewwy, nastiness...enough said

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
