There are, surprisingly, a lot of songs people don’t listen to enough, or don’t even know of yet. I’m hoping to fix that, because these ten songs are holy, anointed, inspirational, and VERY inspiring. Take a listen, and see if you can agree with me! These are the version that you can look up on Youtube, not what Spotify, or other music streaming sites have them labeled as.

1. Every Nation (Every Soul) | LiveLyric by Lindy Conant

This song gives me chills every time I listen to it. It’s a complete cry from her heart, and if you take it into your perspective, it is a song of need, for the whole World to hear the name of Jesus and it happens through people saying ‘yes’.

2. Reckless Love (w/ spontaneous) Steffany Gretzinger | Bethel Music

This song is a little more popular, and I know a lot more people have heard it, but if you haven’t heard it yet, you are seriously missing out. If you have ever doubted God, or His love toward you, this song brings you back to realize how spontaneous the love of God really is.

3. Sanctuary - (Live) | SEU Worship

This is actually a College Worship Band, so I’m sure not a lot of people have even seen this song before. However, this song explains how in Christ, we are safe. No matter what happens, or how lost we feel, Jesus is our Sanctuary and His hope is where we can put our trust.

4. I Give it All | Life.Church Worship

This is another song of surrender, and giving God all we have. It’s a song I recently came across, but fell in love with instantly. Jesus provides us with all the light we need, and tells us to trust Him. This song examples that.

5. You’re Worthy Of It All | Shane & Shane

When we worship, God doesn’t ask us to bring anything but an open heart. I think sometimes we feel like we have to be perfect to worship Him, but that’s SO not the truth. God is worthy of being worship because He’s just that good. Not because of what he gives us, but because everything he formed shows how beautiful He is.

6. In Over My Head | Jenn Johnson | We Will Not Be Shaken

This is a song probably more known, but still not talked about enough. I am in love with this song because it gives God an open invitation to take everything we have, crash over us, and completely remold our hearts. This is my favorite song on the list, and once you listen to it, it will be yours too.

7. Hunger + Thirst | The Belonging Co.

This song basically explains the thirst we have when we want more of Jesus. We Hunger & Thirst for His presence in our daily lives when we are seeking Him to the fullest capacity.

8. Tears | Matt Hammitt

This is one of those songs that completely destroys you in the best way possible. It will leave you crying, so be prepared. But the tears...intentional pun...are the good kind.

9. Ashes | Mia Fieldes

The many times I’ve listened to this song, I get something different out of it each time. I hear something different, or maybe something speaks to me that didn’t before, but I love this song because when we are in Jesus, and saved, He turns our ashes into beauty and that’s just incredible to think about.

10. This is how I fight my battles + Surrounded | Upper Room

I figured for this last song, I’d end with something to celebrate. Go have a stinkin dance party in your room, by yourself. This song list is one for celebrating because our God is good and He always provides for his children.

For those long nights that turn into mornings when the struggle is real.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

As this semester wraps up, students can’t help but be stressed about finals. After all, our GPAs depends on these grades! What student isn’t worrying about their finals right now? It’s “goodbye social life, hello library” time from now until the end of finals week.
