10 Weird Things About Me

1. I love, love, love macaroni and cheese so much I would eat it with every meal if I could.

2. I cannot wait to be a grandma one day. Spoiling the people I love (my future kids and grandkids) is going to be so much fun. It is exciting watching people grow, change and become individuals.

3. My car, Jenny the Jetta, is like my best friend. She always pulls through and never lets me down, even when my gas light has been on for thirty miles.

4. I cannot stand to have my picture taken. Ew.

5. I am a sucker for poetry. I follow probably ten accounts on Instagram to get a daily dose of poems.

6. I have seen every single episode of Say Yes to the Dress on TLC, and I am not ashamed. I feel like I know Lori and Monte personally, so I talk to the TV when I am watching women pick perfect dresses.

7. My middle name is Rae, and if you spell it backwards, it spells ear.

8. If I do not get at least eight hours of sleep, I am so rude. To people I know, people I do not know -- anyone is in my line of fire will know I did not get adequate sleep. I know, eight hours is so unrealistic, but I already told you I am a grandma. This means going to bed at 9 p.m. is normal for me.

9. I hate any kind of candy. Except chocolate.

10. I have three dream jobs because I am that indecisive: ESPN broadcaster, working with Jostens to help high school students design their yearbooks, and writing children's books.

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."
