No matter who you are, you've probably had a sunburn before. No matter how many times you reapply sunscreen or how short of a time you spend in the sun, a sunburn is bound to occur at least once.
Sometimes you'll burn evenly- like when you forget to apply sunscreen on your shoulders- and sometimes your skin may end up with random patches of sunburn from missing a couple of spots. Weird sunburns happen. Here are some everyone probably experiences at one point in their life.
1. Sunburn on just your nose
Sometimes we forget to put sunscreen on our noses and end up looking like Rudolph for a few days. Too bad it's not Christmastime.
2. Sunburn on your scalp
Although it's not necessarily weird, it is a place you wouldn't think to sunscreen. Throwing on a hat will help prevent having a sunburned scalp that will be painful and peeling shortly after.
3. Sunburn on the tops of your feet
Yeah, putting on shoes will be pretty painful after burning your feet.
4. Sunburn on your bellybutton
I didn't think this was possible until I looked in the mirror this morning.
5. Handprint sunburn
Unfortunately, it's not just something that happens in movies.
6. A sunburn outlining body paint/a temporary tattoo
I once had a friend that had a "PTV" sunburn (for the band Pierce the Veil) on her chest the day before she left for vacation in England. You can bet she got asked a lot of questions.
7. A sunburn on just your hairline
Not wanting to get sunscreen in your hair, you put it just below your hairline. Little do you know, you've just made a terrible mistake and will be walking around with a red strip of forehead skin.
8. A splotchy sunburn in all of the places you missed a spot
Having spots of red on one leg, a foot, a shoulder, half of your chest and an arm just isn't the look you were going for.
9. A sunburn on half of your body or face
Try not to sit out in the sun with it only shining on half of your face for too long (or just put on sunscreen beforehand).
10. A full-body sunburn
Yup. That has to be the worst kind of sunburn.
