10 Ways To Stay Positive

Lately, I’ve been in a rut with my happiness and positive thinking. I have surrounded myself with some negative people and I have been dragged down into a pool of unenthusiastic thoughts. I want to change my mindset and I have realized that only I can do this. So, I came up with 10 ways to increase your positivity!

Listen to your favorite artist and jam out

I have recently been obsessed with Fleetwood Mac and John Mayer.

Talk to the positive people in your life

This can be hard to do if your life is full of negative people, but try to find at least one positive person that lifts you up.

Read something uplifting

This is important because we can live such negative lives, so escaping into a purely positive world is key.

Focus on your breathing

This will help you calm down and focus.

Make a list of all of the reasons that you are blessed

There are several reasons!

Make a list of all of the ways you can help people

You can make a huge difference in someone's life...what a way to be positive!

Take some time for yourself

Self-care is number one.

Catch up on a light show on Netflix

I love Gilmore Girls!

Tell yourself that you are doing the best that you can in this present moment

Because it's true.

Write a blog post

It's a great way to keep a positive mind!

So, how are you going to be positive today?

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
