Living a happy life starts from within. As long as your aura and personal energies are in a positive and healthy state, you can lead a greater lifestyle in 2018. Cutting off all negative ties, focusing on yourself, and taking care of your needs before anything else is the key to having good energies and once that is established it’s important that you know how to protect them! Use this article as a short guide on how to keep a happy life this year.

1. Remove all toxic people from your life and surround yourself with positivity instead.

Having toxic people in your life holds you back from being your best self. You will feel better after cutting off all the people who bring negativity into your life and you will watch the world around you become brighter. Putting yourself in positive surroundings will have a positive impact on your well-being. You'll have a better mindset when surrounding yourself with positive people. Making yourself available to any and everyone makes it easier for toxic people and negative energies to invade your life. Watch who you spend time with and make sure those people have the same energy that you are putting out into the world. Share yourself with those who lift you up, not weigh you down!

Spoil yourself. Take time to relax and put yourself at ease, don’t skip out on doctors appointments, read a book, or go out and treat yourself to something nice. Practicing self care is an act of love that will help you lead a happier life. Working on yourself and striving to be a better version of you will give you a boost of self-confidence and will help you learn more about yourself along the way!

3. Put yourself first.

Being selfish sometimes is a must when securing good energies. Make sure you are doing okay before attempting to be there for others. Your wants and needs are just as important as anyone else's so don''t be hesitant to treat them as top priority. It's okay to put certain things on the back-burner in order to ensure your well-being. Make sure those around you are aware of your need to focus on yourself so that they can be more understanding of you putting yourself first. Treat yourself like you are #1!

4. Pray, meditate, and exercise.

God is your right hand and is there for you at all times. Prayer helps you find clarity, puts your mind at ease, and can help you solve any issues you may be facing. Be good to your mind and body. Leading a healthy lifestyle spiritually, mentally, and physically will make you feel better. Your conscience will be clear and any burdens that have been weighing down on you will be released. Living a healthier lifestyle is great method in protecting your energies.

5. Get Enough Rest.

Don’t work yourself too hard without taking time to rest. Have a few off days if you need them to give your mind and body a break. Getting all the rest you need helps your immune system and is also good for mental health. Instead of feeling overwhelmed you will feel energized and excited about life!

5 Things To Do That Are Better Than Writing A Paper

Don't waste your time trying to write that paper when there are so many more interesting things you could be doing.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?

I can barely remember back when I was the only child. Most would say it’s because it is extremely difficult to remember things as a toddler but I would say it's because I was bored until my sister came along. My mother always says how important the "sister bond" is and with every year that passes I realize how right she is. Instead of writing a novel about all of the wonderful things there are about having a sister I decided to list a few of them instead.

It is the time of our lives that we are beginning to enter the adult world and most of us, if not all of us, have no idea what we are doing. It's like starting a video game, but skipping the tutorial. We're all just running around aimlessly hoping we accidentally do something right that moves us along the right path. Now that graduation has just happened, or is right around the corner for some of us, it's time to start thinking about how we are going to take care of ourselves once we are on our own.

If you’re anything like me, you love a good cup of coffee. My coffee always comes from Starbucks; I refuse to drink it from anywhere else. Over the years, it’s become one of my biggest addictions.
