Life is stressful. There are midterms and tests and work and school and money and relationships and illnesses and...I think you get the point. Here's some ways to deal with stress and make your life just a little bit easier.

How to deal with anxiety:

1. Breathe

Breathing really is the best remedy and you don't need any special tools to do it. Just sit, take a deep breath and let it all go.

2. Talk to Someone

Trust me. Your thoughts are not as crazy as they seem. Sometimes it's good to talk to another person about what's going on in your head and how your feeling.

3. Exercise

Going for even something as simple as a walk can really help to clear your head.

4. Draw/Paint

Art can help you to really express your feelings and de-stress.

5. Journal

Writing down your thoughts can help to get them out of your head and help you see them as just thoughts.

6. Meditate

This is kind goes with the whole breathing activity, but meditation helps you focusing more on your breath and not on your thoughts. It can really make you feel at peace.

7. Play Music

Loud music, soft music, whatever makes you feel good and puts you in your best mood.

8. Take a Drive

Sometimes you just need to let your head clear and some alone time. Driving can be quite relaxing at times.

9. Take a Nap

Sometimes it's best to just turn our brains off for a little bit and napping is by far the best way to do that.

10. Sit With Your Thoughts

Take some time and realize that your thoughts are just what they are called, thoughts. Nothing is as bad as your mind makes it out to be.

When I was learning how to talk, I was taught both Portuguese and English at the same time. In elementary school, I started taking mandatory Spanish classes, which I did well in because of my knowledge of Portuguese. Then in high school, on top of taking Spanish, I also started taking French. Now, in college, already fluent in English and Portuguese, I'm in the process of becoming fluent in Spanish, and I have a standard high school level understanding of French.
