The Taco Tuesday craze is in full effect, and restaurants all over seem to jumping on this trend to increase their sales for business. Not only do these deals attract taco lovers, but also for people who need a pick me up during the week and don't have a lot of money to spend. This goes especially for college students who love a delicious and inexpensive meal. Tampa is one of the many cities that have taken advantage of this trend to make your Tuesday a little more fun through good food and good company. For me this trend is about the food, but also about creating a social atmosphere with friends and family.

***There is no specific order and the restaurants listed are not ranked. These are the places that I found to be the most popular in the area***

I have also linked the menus or website to each location in the word "taco" of each description if applicable. Happy eating!

1. Miguelitos Tacos Y Tequilas

Located in the South Tampa area, right on the main street of Kennedy Blvd. They serve their traditional tacos all day for just $2! All other specialty tacos are $1 off. And if you're looking for an alcoholic beverage to pair with your tacos, all craft cocktails are $3 off, 6pm till close.

2. Green Lemon

One of my personal favorites because not only do they have taco Tuesday deals, but also have happy hour EVERY day from 3-7pm with food and drink specials. On Tuesdays all tacos are $2. If you want to feed your taco obsession more than once during the week you can stop in during happy hour and get 3 tacos for $8.

3. Besito Mexican Restaurant

This restaurant doesn't necessarily advertise as a taco Tuesday, but they have an awesome happy hour selection which you can opt to go on a Tuesday. Monday- Friday from 4pm- 6:30pm they offer $5 chicken and fish tacos, quesadillas, tamales and empanadas. For my 21+ readers, they showcase various signature margaritas with different twists and flavors all just for $5!

4. Taco Bus

A chain home to Tampa Bay with various locations across the city with extended late hours at certain locations. All day long they serve $2 tacos!

5. bartaco Hyde Park

If you are looking for something more upscale and Instagram worthy, this is THE place. Located in the very stylish Hyde Park area of Tampa surrounded by many boutique shops and restaurant. This restaurant offers street style tacos, so they are a little on the smaller side, but packed with flavor. Tacos start at $2.50 each and specialty tacos are $3.50.

6. California Tacos To Go

This place has two locations in the Tampa area and has been featured on the Food Network Channel show,"Diner's Drive-ins, and Dives." They offer a wide variety of fillings, including vegetarian friendly. The special is 3 tacos for just $3, what a steal!

7. Rubio's Coastal Grill

Another upscale restaurant with a specialty in fish tacos. Their original fish tacos are only $1.75 made with their signature recipe. For $2 get the same taco with extra toppings such as guacamole, cheese and cilantro.

8. Taqueria Emanuel

This hole in the wall place is as authentic as they come. Located on Macdill Ave where you can find the real Mexican tacos. Not fancy like the other places mentioned and good for on-the-go foodies. They offer a daily taco special from 2-5pm for $1.76 per taco. Any other time you can find yourself only spending $2 for a taco!

9. Ciccio's Water

This isn't a mexican restaurant, but they do offer a taco Tuesday menu, Choose from 6 different cali tacos for $2 after 3pm. They also offer $2 domestic beer and sangria ranging from $2-7 depending on size.

10. Urban Cantina

This chic tex-mex style restaurant is great for social gatherings. They have two locations; one in the heart of downtown and one in South Tampa. Like many of the other options, they offer $2 tacos on Tuesdays. I personally think there entire menu is reasonably priced for being in such an urban area. There is a wide variety of tacos from authentic, vegetarian, and more Americanized selections.

This lists consists of various styles of tacos and atmospheres, but where ever you choose, go out and enjoy your Tuesday. No taco gets left behind!

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
