It’s that time of year again and a time when school is almost over. I’m sure every college student feels the stress of finals, papers, and group projects. These last few weeks are the worst, and it will throw any student into a break down at any moment. Here are ways to survive it!

  • Relax I know it seems like everything is overwhelming, but it’s not the end of the world. And it’s almost over, since summer break is almost here.
  • Prioritize: Make a list of all the assignments, tests dates, and projects. Knock out the deadlines coming up first then spend time knocking out the rest.
  • Don’t wait till the last minute. I know it’s hard, and you want to just sleep instead of tackle the nine page paper. It’s better to start it early so you can take your time and do well on the paper.
  • It’s just a test…it’s not the end of the world and your life doesn’t depend on it. Study for it ahead of time, and then you can definitely pass with flying colors.
  • Sleep…Staying up till 2am to finish a paper might seem good, but you need to sleep in order to destress from the day.
  • Stop worrying about it period. Occupy your time with something fun to keep the stress from finals at bay. Worrying will only make it worse.
  • Hang with friends it helps keep your stress levels down, and they can help you not take things too much.
  • Coffee is your best friend since it keeps the brain stimulated.
  • Netflix and movies since binge watching television and movies can keep your stress levels down.
  • It’s almost over just hang in there, and finish up the semester strong!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
