At the end of every year we tell ourselves that the following year is going to be different. You are going to make changes that will better yourself. These typically include a new diet, a fresh exercise routine, or even a vow to start or end a relationship. Sadly, many of these "resolutions" fall through the cracks as the year progresses.
Make this year the year that change actually happens. Make this the year when you look back and see progress and improvement.
1. Make a routine.
2. Push through the pain.
3. Make your resolution a priority.
4. Motivate yourself by setting goals and rewarding the completion of those goals.
5. Don't make an overwhelming amount of resolutions. Make one that you are capable of achieving, and stick with it!
6. Start the first day of the new year. Do not put it off.
7. Do not give up. Some days are going to be harder than others, but that is part of the process.
8. Log your progress so you can see how far you have come.
9. If you feel like you are going to cheat on your goal, phone a friend! It is typically easier to complete a goal when you have people supporting you.
10. Keep up the good work. If you have a bad day, make the next day better, and so on and so forth. Each day is a new challenge, so dominate one day before you worry about the next one.
Make 2017 the year when real change happens in whatever area of your life that you desire. Don't overdo the number of resolutions so real change can happen. Push and fight to complete your goals. With these little tips, the completion of your resolutions are possible.
Cheers to the new you in 2017!
