Being a 19 year old college-aged girl, people would expect that I go out and party every weekend and do silly, reckless things. One thing that I have realized since I started college is that I am far from the typical college student. I feel like I am an old lady at heart by the things I prefer doing which is unlike the stereotypical girl my age. I am a 19 year old, old woman.

1. I Love To Cook

I love trying new recipes whenever I can. Though it has not yet transformed into a recipe book, I keep a list of all of the recipes I have tried. Many of my recipes include family favorites as well as meals from my Pinterest board.

2. Bird Watching

My family loves to give me a hard time about my passion for bird watching/feeding. In our yard I have about 12 bird feeders that I keep full whenever I come home. When I turned 16, unlike most normal teenagers, I asked for the Backyard Guide of Birds in North America in which I document all of the birds I see. One of my newest bird spotting was of a rare Pileated woodpecker that is typically found in the southern part of Illinois-I am super proud of it. Let's just say not every 19, (almost 20) year old shares my passion for our feathered friends.

3. Bake Cookies

Not only do I cook, I love to bake. I bake a mean chocolate chip cookie.

4. I Golf

I picked up golf when I was in high school. Most of my friends would be playing typical teenager sports like softball, basketball, and volleyball; they would tease me for playing such an old person sport. But I love it!

5. I Bowl

And I have my own bowling ball. This is a very recent past time of mine that my boyfriend has introduced me to and fits with my old lady M.O.

6. I Love Watching Black and White Movies

I love watching old movies like The Philadelphia Story and Little Women. Unlike typical teenagers, I never fall asleep when a black and white movie comes on. Give me a movie circa 1940 any time.

7, My Favorite Gift Is Soap

I love walking into a store and checking out all of the beautifully wrapped bars of soap. For any gift-giving occasion my family knows that I will find the most joy from recieving a bar of soap.

8. I Drive a Buick

So not only do I have old lady-like tendencies, I actually drive the car to fit the role. A 2003 Buick is not my first choice for a car, but it will do.

9. Looking At My First Knee Replacement

I have always gotten hurt, and whenever I bend down my knees pop and crackle. Same goes for my hips-perhaps knee and hip replacements are in my future.

10. I Take 9 Daily Pills

I am deficient in several vitamins so my doctor recommends I take several pills to make up for that. I also like to take different supplements for multiple things. My pill pack is just about as full as I can get it!

Some people look forward to the day they are going to be a mother, but I look forward to the day that I become a grandma!

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
