Portrayed by Mindy Kaling, Mindy Lahiri is a Gynecologist living in New York City and she barely has her life together. Sure, she has a degree and an amazing job but other than that she might as well just be one of us... a lost and confused college student that doesn't know what the hell is going on. Mindy relates to us on an inspirational level.
1. She knows food is the most important.
Chicken wings and donuts, need I say more?
2. She knows that data isn't going to save itself.
We are all out here fighting for the wifi password because stalking your ex on Instagram while your at the club is a vital part of having fun. She knows how to have a good time like everyone else in college and befriending the DJ is the absolute start.
3. She knows a good cause when she sees one.
Let's all be honest, we are not going to do anything unless there is something in it for us. Not always, but 75% of the time we plan to have an ulterior motive behind it.
4. She knows what a real relationship is all about.
Who needs real happiness when your 1,500 followers think you look good in all the various selfies with different filters you post every week? The generations from millennial on out are completely and utterly screwed.
5. She has absolutely no idea how to be an adult.
Taxes, retirement plans, health care, these words are not in our vocabulary yet. The only type of long term benefits we're aware of are the ones that come once every year, "SPRAAANG BREAK" anyone?
6. She knows how to give a great pep talk.
Sometimes we all have to envision ourselves as Beyonce before anything that is even close to being important. Tests, dates, job interviews... these are huge milestones for us!
7. She tells it like it is.
It may have been rude but someone had to say it.
8. She knows when to be modest.
We don't know where we're going or why things are happening the way they are. We suck at organizing our life and assume that everything else is just as much of a train wreck.
9. And when to be confident as hell.
Although our lives are a mess a lot of the time, we know when we have to get the job done. Working out though? Overrated.
10. She dreams big.
I mean we are all going to school to get a degree we have no idea how to use, why not dream of a career way out of reach? LITERALLY.
In the words of all college all-stars every Thirstday-
DROP THA MIC.
