Aside from a significant other, everyone has that one friend they can go to with anything. She is the Christina Yang to my Meredith Grey. I can't thank her enough for all she has helped me through, laughed at me for, and just simply been there for. I think that college and life in general would have been so much different without her. Here are a few signs to look out for when finding your person.

1. You can watch awful television together.

Anything on, no? Let's watch the worst show ever made!

2. They have seen your awful crying face.

Nobody is a pretty crier, but the best people can love you through it.

3. You can stay up for hours just laughing.

We don't have to go out to have fun. Some of our best memories are spent watching Netflix and binge eating anything we can find.

4. They don't judge you, like at all.

They have seen you flipping sweats inside-out to re-wear them and said absolutely nothing. The days you just need to eat a whole bag of chips and not shower, yep they stay there for that too. Even when you are sassy and don't want anything to do with anyone, they are still there.

5. No matter how bad your day, they pick you up.

Even it is just showing you funny cat videos from Facebook, she always knows what to do to put a smile on your face. The countless hours I have spent stressing have all been met with pep talks and reassurance.

6. Vent sessions.

There is nobody that will agree with your raging more than them. They even chime in when necessary and don't make you feel like a crazy person. No matter what is being discussed, your person will always have something to say about it.

7. Honesty is always their policy.

Even when something is hard for you to hear, they say it. Nobody gives better opinions on anything than your person. They will tell you if your make-up looks bad or if you need to redo your hair before going out.

8. You are both are blindly making it through life.

Adulthood and college are hard, but they make it easier. Whether its staying up late to study or getting a midnight snack with them, they also make you feel like you aren't the only one that has absolutely no clue how to adult.

9. Dancing is the only way to express feelings.

Neither of you are great dancers, but you do it anyway.

10. You don't know how you ever lived without them.

Seriously though what was life before having my person.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way.
