Hank Hill is the unintentionally hilarious Texan dad from the animated TV show "King of the Hill." Although all of the show's characters are witty in their own way, Hank is perhaps the funniest of all. When not selling propane and propane accessories, he drinks beer with his high school buddies in the alley of their neighborhood. Hank Hill, the steak-loving, all American, truck-driving, family man is the epitome of a Southern dad. If the following criteria reminds you of your dad... then good news, he's probably Hank Hill.

1. He wears practically the same outfit all the time

Hank is partial to plain white t-shirts and blue jeans. What a coincidence--so is my dad. When dads find something that's comfortable and well-made, they stick with it. My dad has worn the same brands of clothes for as long as I can remember. Why? Because if it's not broken, don't fix it.

2. He loves meat and grilling

Hank grills his steaks medium rare with propane, and he would never eat it another way. Dads are serious when it comes to grilling. It's weird, but to each his own.

3. He loves his truck

Hank's relationship with his red Ford truck reminds me of my dad's relationship with his red Ford truck. Trucks are dads' best friends, second to dogs. If your dad didn't drive a truck, would he even be your dad?

4. He loves you even though he doesn't understand you

I'm ashamed of how much I'm like Bobby Hill. Bobby is so different from his dad, but Hank still loves him. Bobby likes comedy and pop culture, not sports and propane. Despite their differences, Hank loves his son and supports his eccentric interests.

5. Beer

Hank isn't only loyal to his family, friends and Ford. He's loyal to his Texas beer brand, Alamo. Dads like beer. They like drinking beer with their buds. If your dad drinks the same beer with his old pals, he's probably Hank.

6. He may or may not have an anger problem

Hank has a tendency to get so mad that the vein in his forehead starts throbbing. Dads have a reputation for being irritable and grumpy. Why are dads always mad? Probably all those liberal Yankees!

7. He likes to reminisce about the good old days

Hank and his friends often reminisce about their high school days when they played football together. How many times have you heard your dad's old football stories? Too many to count, right? Dads love to think about the good old days, back when American products were made to last, and country music was good.

8. He doesn't understand technology

Sometimes even the guy you look up to most doesn't know what a JPEG is. Dads can protect and provide for their families, but God forbid them having to do anything on a computer. Bless their hearts.

9. He loves his dog

Ladybird! Hank loves his dog, Ladybird, almost like a child. He goes as far as building her her own furnished dog house in the yard. Everybody loves dogs, but apparently there's a special bond between a dad and his dog.

10. He takes pride in his yard

Hank spends hours tending to his yard, and not because he has to, but because he loves doing it. He keeps his lawn mowed to the perfect height, too. Dads pride themselves in the perfection of their lawns.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
