10 Warm Colleges You Should Transfer To

If you go to school in the north (like moi), you’re probably already tired of the cold. If you’re like me, you may or may not be Googling schools in the south just to dream… Here’s a list of some of the best candidates of schools I’d transfer to if I had money and courage:

1. University of Hawai'i at Mānoa

Because who doesn't want to live in Hawai'i?

2. University of California - Los Angeles

If you can get through the 18% acceptance rate, go there. Please, for all of us who can't.

3. East Carolina University

Because everybody low-key wants to be a pirate.

4. Berry College

It may be a bit pricey, but just look at that beauty!

5. University of Arizona

You can be a wildcat and make all your High School Musical dreams come true (but in college)!

6. University of Texas at El Paso

With a 99.9% acceptance rate, how could you go wrong?

7. University of Nevada - Las Vegas

Become as notable an alum as the one and only Guy Fieri!

8. University of New Mexico

*searches plane ticket prices* *cries* *tears freeze because I'm still in the north*

9. Loyola Marymount University

Palm trees on palm trees...

10. University of North Carolina - Wilmington

Not even going to lie, I considered attending UNCW for school... Now I'm beginning to regret deciding to go to school in northern Ohio instead.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
