Do you ever consider how much money you've invested in your makeup? We all have those beauty products that we spend way too much money on, but couldn't live without. These products are beyond your usual collection of foundation, blush, eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara and transcend the world of looking really, really good. Here of are a few of my favorite unnecessary beauty products, that I honestly don't know why I bought, but I'm so glad I did.
1. Marc Jacobs Glitter Mascara ($26, Sephora)
That's right y'all, I'm talking about designer glitter in a tube.
2. Kylie Lip Kit ($29, kyliecosmetics.com)
The real reason you want this is just to say that you got one in the five minutes before they sold out.
3. Mineralize SkinFinish Lightscapade ($32, MAC Cosmetics)
Because why not add a little extra shimmer to your face?
4. Too Faced Better Than False Lashes Mascara ($35, Sephora)
It's only $10 extra for another one millimeter of length added to your lashes.
5. Too Faced Hangover Primer ($32, Sephora)
Who knows the difference between this and Jergen's lotion from the drug store?
6. Urban Decay B6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Prep Spray ($33, Sephora)
Even better than designer glitter is designer water. And we're not talking Voss, people.
7. Beauty Blender ($20, Sephora)
This sponge better be laced with gold.
8. Too Faced Lip Injection ($22, Sephora)
Let's be real, we all just like how it makes our lips tingle.
9. Christian Louboutin Silky Satin Lip Colour ($90, Sephora)
This lipstick better still be on my lips in my casket.
10. St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse ($49, Sephora)
God forbid you just go and get a spray tan.
The sad thing is, there isn't a single one of these products that I would substitute with a drug store version or stop buying altogether. Just remember, beauty doesn't come cheap.
