Mark Hamill is well-known for his fantastic work as Luke Skywalker in Star Wars and the Joker in several animated Batman adventures, but he's been making people smile ever since joining Twitter in May of 2011. Here are some of his best tweets in recent months.
1. The Jacket
He's always been a style icon... that never buys new clothes....
2. A Hard Knock Or Two...
The picture reads "Mark Hamill had to bang his head 16 times on the ceiling of Yoda's hut before Irvin Kershner was satisfied in #StarWars Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980)". And here I just thought it was an accident that had made it into the film.
3. Nothing.... Uh....?
It's okay, Mr. Hamill, my handwriting is atrocious, too. No one ever asks to borrow my notes in class!
4. #PadawanPiggyback
"No, I promise, Rey! It's an ancient Jedi tradition!"
(For real, though, those hashtags are killing me!)
5. Vader's Protege
Is she locking her Barbies in the cupboard and demanding to know the location of Rebel bases?
6. A Shocking Revelation
The picture reads "That moment when you realize both Obi-Wan and Yoda have blocked Force lightning, but didn't teach or even warn you." If it's any consolation, Anakin got zapped more then his fair share, too. Maybe it's hereditary? (Here's hoping it's a trait that's passed on to Kylo...)
7. Wait For It... Wait For It...
We're all just going to have to take the advice of 'Hamilton' character Aaron Burr and 'Wait For It'... good thing Mr. Hamill's such a big fan! #Hamillton
8. Alexander Skywalker? Luke Hamilton?
I bet you all thought I was kidding. #Hamillton will happen!
9. Who's Side Are You On?
One of the oldest nerd debates - Star Wars or Star Trek? Will you stand with Skywalker or engage in some overly-dramatic fake fight scenes with Kirk?
10. Many Happy Returns (And Cardboard Tubes)
Happy birthday, Mr. Hamill! Well, belated birthday, since this article won't be published until after September 25th. But it's the thought that counts, right?
Thank you for all the wonderful years you've worked hard to make us smile, on the screen and off. You're a truly wonderful human being.
