10 TV Crushes you had Growing Up

The late 1990's and early 2000's blessed our television screens with a lot of eye candy. Let's take a look back on all the boys whose posters covered our bedroom walls.

1. Shawn Hunter

Shawn was Cory's rebellious best friend on "Boy Meets World." You can still see Shawn Hunter on the small screen in Disney's "Girl Meets World", and good news, he's still wicked attractive.

1. Uncle Jesse

Have mercy, Full House's Huncle Jesse was a total babe. He was, without a doubt, every 90's girl's first crush.

3. Nathan Scott

He started the series at the resident jerk and basketball superstar at Tree Hill, but he ended up being one of the most caring guys on the show. And while I still think getting married in high school was the weirdest storyline, I'll love 'Naley' forever.

4. Lucas Scott

Chad Michael Murray was a staple in television and movies geared toward girls in the early 2000's. He almost always played the poetic, misunderstood jock, and Lucas Scott was no exception. And how could you not fall for him?

5. Zack Morris

Who wasn't in love with Zack and his schemes on "Saved by the Bell"?

6. Chandler Bing

Chandler Bing was the resident funny guy at Central Perk. And sure he had more than his fair share of issues, but you loved him anyway.

7. Randy Taylor

Jonathan Taylor Thomas stole our hearts as the middle child on "Home Improvement."

8. Joey Tribbiani

Joey was a total ladies man, so falling in love with him was kind of inevitable.

9. Ethan Craft

"The slow curve, works every time."

10. Troy Bolton

Troy Bolton. He was good at basketball, could sing, and really has only gotten better with age.

This list has made me nostalgic for the times when these guys dominated our television screens and were the topic of our AIM messages.

8 Things I Realized After My First Semester In College

Actually, Kylie Jenner, 2018 is the year of realizing things.

The first semester of college is famous for being one of the most difficult transitions of one's young adult life. You're thrown into a completely new area where the majority of the people surrounding you are strangers in an academic environment that's much more challenging then what you've grown accustomed to for the past twelve years. On top of that, you probably share a room with another person (or even multiple people) on the lumpiest "mattress" you've ever slept on.

With this change comes a lot of questions: what do I want to major in? What am I passionate about? Is what I'm passionate about something I'm actually good at? Why does the bathroom smell like cranberry juice and vodka? What is that thing at the bottom of the shower drain?

6 Unrealistic Expectations Society Has For Young Adults

Don't let the thesaurus-inspired vocabularies in our résumés fool you. We're actually just big kids.

Well over four feet tall and 100 pounds in weight, many of us "young adults" of the world still consider ourselves children. Big, working, college-attending, beer-drinking children. We may live on our own, know how to cook noodles, and occasionally use a planner, but don't be fooled; the youthful tendencies that reside within us still make their way into our daily lives. From choosing to stay up until 3:00 a.m. playing video games on a school night to going out in 30 degree weather without a coat, we still make decisions that our parents and grandparents would shake their heads at in disappointment. So why are we expected to know exactly how to be a wise, professional, sensible adult? It's not that we're irresponsible (for the most part, anyway). It's that we are young, inexperienced, and still have the sought-after, enthusiastic mentality that we can do and be whatever we want, which has not yet been tarnished by the reality of the world. These are just a few of the unrealistic expectations that society has for young adults.
