Like many kids I myself was very shy as a kid. Now I would consider myself a very social person and an introverted extrovert, but here are 10 truths of growing up shy:

1. Getting called on to read aloud in class made you want to become homeschooled.

2. After having to read aloud in class your heart beats so fast for about 10 minutes.

3. You could know the answer to everything the teacher asked, but never dared raised your hand incase you got it wrong.

4. You never got in trouble for talking in class and always had your card on blue (or whatever color meant you were good).

5. You would mumble a joke or the answer to something and someone next to you would say it louder and get all the credit.

6. Going to school you were always super quiet and when you got home you were basically a wild child so your parents were always confused when your teachers said how quiet you were.
