1. Saturdays are the worst.
But you’ll still do it today.
2. It’s every college student for themselves.
Nothing is more awkward than casually racing other people to the laundry room. When you see someone with a laundry basket, they are no longer a person. They are just the difference between you getting your laundry done in two hours versus... like five.
3. When you forget something.
It’s not like at home where you can just run upstairs and grab it. Your room could be up three flights of stairs, in another building even. And you can not risk losing your washing machine.
4. Smuggling your clothes into a machine.
Especially when you don’t want the hot guy three washers down to see your polka dot bra.
5. Finding your clothes in a heap on top of the washing machine.
You even set a timer to make sure that this didn’t happen…. But you just weren’t quick enough.
6. Trying to decide whether or not to take someone’s stuff out.
The nice thing to do would be to fold it, but then you see boxers and everything changes.
7. The bittersweet feeling when somebody was nice and put your stuff in a dryer.
Like that was so awesome of you, but my sweater probably shrunk and you totally saw all of my underwear.
8. When You Decided to do laundry with a friend and there is only one washer left.
If you want to test a friendship, put two girls with a ton of laundry in front of one washing machine.
9. The one machine that’s open is always broken.
You stuffed all your clothes in, you added detergent and everything, and that’s when you realize why it hadn't been taken yet.
10. Four hours later.
You are finally done! It was a successfully wasteful day.
