Cleveland has had bad luck with our professional sports teams for much too long now. Luckily, this year, we have the Cavaliers to bring Clevelander's hopes back up.

So far Cleveland has been in luck and the Cavs have won the first round in the playoffs. Cleveland has some of the most die-hard fans of all professional sports teams' cities. We have rightfully claimed the name "Believeland," since we have never given up on our city and our sports teams.

This summer is about to be all Cavs and all Cleveland. You can expect every Cleveland fan downtown or at the Q during the playoffs, because we will always stand with our Cleveland teams. Even if Cleveland isn't winning, we are still one of the best cities to play for, because we will always support our teams. But if we do start winning, I can promise that Cleveland is one of the greatest cities to be a part of. And for the players, it is one of the greatest cities to play for. The city's slogan "There's always next year" will hopefully be broken after this year's NBA playoffs. Here are a few things to pick out fair-weather fans and a true Cavaliers fan.

1. You know who played for the Cavs in 2005-2008 and is now a part of the coaching staff (Damon Jones).

2. You have imitated the famous Lebron chalk toss.

3. You hate the Detroit coach, Stan Van Gundy.

4. You know who Mr. Cavalier is (Austin Carr) if you listen to every game.

5. “The Shot” is in your nightmares.

6. You cried when Andy left.

7. You destroyed your Lebron jersey when he left.

8. But you still welcomed him with open arms when he came back to Cleveland.

9. You know what's on the corner of Ontario and Huron.

10. You know you were happy to see this sign/mural go back up.

The Cavaliers put some hope in the Cleveland fans. It's no longer the factory of sadness. Cleveland has more to offer than just its sports teams, but it is our team that binds us together. Every true Cavs fan should know or at least agree with these 10 facts.

The Cavs have been the pride and joy of Cleveland the past few years and they aren't going anywhere. So watch out Miami, Atlanta, Boston, Golden State, and San Antonio, because this year is the year of the Cavs. It has always been Cleveland against the world, but this year, Cleveland will rock the world. We are the underdogs that nobody expects. What better way to win than proving the nation wrong by winning as the underdogs?

Cleveland is the greatest city to be a part of. I am proud to call myself a Clevelander and so should you. This is our year, the year of the Cavs.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
