If you are like me, you are obsessed with New York Fashion Week. You watch every public Snapchat story, follow every show, and dream about seeing sitting next to Anna Wintour at a runway show one day.

However, if you are unable to actually make it to the event, I guess the second best thing is to be inspired by them. Here are my top 10 favorite NYFW 2018 trends that can be easily attained.

1. Designed fur coats

If you go to a school in a frigid climate like me, you know the importance of a jacket when you go out. Instead of purchasing an everyday fracket, invest in a colorful, designed faux-fur coat like this one from Pyer Moss. Then you don't have to ditch it at the party, but rather be the talk of the party. Stores such as Zara are starting to get with this trend, selling uniquely designed faux-fur for a cheaper price. A fashionable way to keep warm? Count me in.

2. Matching patterns/fabrics

Outfit idea for next darty? Jeans on jeans. This NYFW, designers displayed looks with matching patterns and fabrics, just like this ensemble by Colovos. This can work with any fabric and pattern, as long as their matching. I'm sure Brittney and Justin are ecstatic that their look has made it to the runway. Finally.

3. Rubber

Rubber — who would have thought? Although probably not the most comfortable material, it's definitely taking the fashion world by storm. Calvin Klein, along with many other designers, employed rubber and latex rubber into their designs. Want to include this in your closet? Look at Pretty Little Thing online. They have some really cute rubber-latex dresses, if you're bold enough to wear them to your next date party.

4. Suits

In a climate where the women's movement is as strong as ever, it only makes sense that designs are included for women's business wear. Dion Lee among other designers brought suits into women's NYFW to bring the idea of strong, powerful women in the business world into fashion. You love this look? Me too.

5. Overlaying the same/similar colors

Another style that was found across NYFW was the overlaying of different shades of the same color, specifically the colors pink and red, as seen in this Tibi ensemble. Trying to put together an outfit? Maybe move away from the "all black" outfit you usually wear (at least I do) and add some colors.

6. Plaid and Gingham

Calling all clueless fans, Cher's skirt is back in style, as seen in the Matthew Adams Dolan look above. NYFW was covered with gingham and plaid, which happen to be my two favorite patterns. Want to bring this trend into your closet? Shop in practically any store and shirts and pants with this pattern will be everywhere. I personally just bought three pairs of pants with these patterns on them. Good.

7. Yellow

I think I speak for every University of Michigan student when I say "finally." Leanne Marshall, along with countless other designers, included yellow in their NYFW lines. Yellow can also be now found on every website in every form of clothing. Yup, even pants on Topshop. You know what that means, amazing new tailgate options.

8. Colorful Animal Print

Now I definitely don't consider myself an animal print type of girl, but Tom Ford may have made me change my mind. Colorful animal print was found across NYFW runways, and now has made its way into big-name stores, like Urban Outfitters. I may need some more convincing on this one, but after seeing the runway styles I may be wearing hot-pink cheetah print the next time I go out. Stay tuned.

9. Sweatpants

Now THIS is a trend I can get behind. Jeremy Scott amongst other designers included sweatpants in their 2018 lines. Hold on while I go order a Juicy tracksuit like the one I had circa 2007. Sweatpants sweatshirt sets are a comfortable way to look trendy wherever you go, and are now being sold everywhere. That's what I like to hear.

10. Fanny Packs

Who would have predicted fanny packs are more than just a place to hold your phone during tailgates? Zimmerman along with other designers included beautifully designed fanny packs into their NYFW shows, bringing utility and fashion together. Urban Outfitters has already started selling stylish fanny packs, will this trend actually blow up? I guess we'll see.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
