Traveling is one of my favorite things to do. However, I tend to be the person that either overpacks or underpacks her bag. I either have way to much stuff to fit in my bag, or I left like three things at home that I needed. I wanted to make a list of the things that you will need for almost any travel trip. Whether it's a short trip to the beach or getting on the airplane to go around the world, here are 10 items you need to take with you.

1. Headphones

This one is major important for me! I'm a big music person so if I forget my headphones on the plane, it's game over. Make sure you take some with you!

2. Cash

I've learned that it's always good to have some cash on hand. Almost every place takes a card, but you will find that one time where you need cash to pay for parking, food, or souvenirs.

3. Rain Jacket

The weather is always a little crazy so bring a jacket just in case it does rain!

4. Toiletry Bag

This is literally so helpful. It's a great bag where you can just store every bathroom thing you use and a major thing to not forget on your trip!

5. A Book

I love being on my phone and all, but sometimes, I need to put it down and read a book! This makes the travel time go a lot faster!

6. Tide To Go

Don't know about you, but I always manage to get something on my clothes when I go on a trip. Tide to go is like my BFF. Gets the stains right out!

7. Laundry Bag

I normally just take a garbage bag with me on a trip, so I can put all my dirty clothes in it when I'm coming back home! That way you can separate your clothes, and just wash the ones you wore when you get back!

8. Sneakers

Take some sneakers that are comfortable!! Pretty much any trip I have gone on, we are normally walking around a lot. Sneakers always are super good for long walks and your feet with thank you.

9. Phone Charger

Don't forget it!!

10. Medicine

I always manage to get headaches when I'm in the car for too long or on the plane. Take some pain medicine with you just in case you need it!

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
