10 Tips To Stay Stress Free During Finals
Test Taking

High school or college finals are the most stressful things. They take up a lot of time, and really worry a lot of people. When finals season is around there's no telling what's in store. There is a way of making this time less stressful. Here are a couple of tips on how to keep your stress level down during this time.

TIP #1: DON'T PANIC! Plan Ahead

Start your studying as soon as you find out about the final. The more time you give yourself to study, the less time you will panic. You'll know a lot more and won't be cramming the night ahead.

TIP #2: Keep A Steady Pace

When studying, keep calm. You are not going to know everything right off the bat, which is why you plan ahead and keep a steady pace. Make yourself a schedule of how long each day you will study. Don't spend too much time on the same thing and take your time!

TIP #3: TAKE A BREAK!

Finals are huge, we get it! If you have a really rude teacher, this final may be 100% of your final grade, but there is nothing wrong with taking a break! Get some fresh air, and ice cream while you're at it! Watch a movie, go hang out with a friend for a while, but just make sure you come back and get focused!

TIP#4: Don't Forget To Sleep And Eat!

It sounds silly, right? But when your mind is working we forget to eat and sleep. So while making that schedule, don't forget to write down to eat, and get to sleep early. The more energized you are, the more confident you'll become.

TIP#5: Don't Abuse The Coffee

As teenagers or adults, coffee tends to be the go-to in the morning to calm our nerves. Coffee is okay, coffee is good! Not too much, though, if anything during this time try not to overdo it, not only can coffee cause stomach aches but it can increase anxiety! Don't add more stress for yourself.

TIP#6: SHOWER?

No really, help the rest of us out and don't forget to shower. Like eating and sleeping, during this time we forget that taking care of ourselves is just as important, so please, hop in that shower dude!

TIP#7: Unplug

Although technology is a great tool to help you study, it also causes you to lose your focus and can be the main cause to not sleeping. So turn it off, stayed focus and work hard.

TIP#8: TAKE A BIG DEEP BREATH

When you feel stress coming on, walk away, take a big deep breath, and remember to stay calm! Remove all the negativity in your head and stay positive! Just make sure you take a couple more deep breaths before heading back to work! They say that you let out the bad and bring in good when doing so!

TIP#9: Stay Positive

With good notes, working hard and knowing you tried your best, there is no way you would feel stress. Stress is just something we let take over, but we have control over how we feel, so keep positive thoughts and know you tried hard.

TIP#10: You Know The Answer

You've studied it, have been taught it and now the answer is right in front of you! Don't second guess yourself and don't stress it too much.

Know that whatever happens it isn't the end of the world. Sometimes we get a bad grade and sometimes we get great ones, but don't let it be the casue of your stress! Believe that you'll do great on this finals season and good luck!
